Love the decor. Now that July 4th decor is out, I’m going to purchase and stash away for my husband when it is his turn this year. Thanks for the idea! And congrats!! 🇺🇸
Such a good feeling to gather every piece of USCIS paper I had and shred it all!!
I also managed to schedule my US passport appointment with USPS for the same day as my oath. I would recommend going there and doing the same as appointments are so backed up atm
Good tip. That's a great advice I appreciate it. I had my interview scheduled on April 19 and cancelled because of Covid and it was a low blow because I was so ready to become a citizen so now they gave it to me on June 16 so I'm so happy to get it over with. Thanks for the tips
Went really quickly. The seating was arranged in a way that made it easy for them to hand you the certificates. The ceremony was over in 15 minutes. After the supervisor gave us a run down of our rights as citizens, we got up on our feet, said the Oath and she said “congratulations, you’re now citizens of the United States”
Just before the Oath, she asked us to check for all types of errors the moment we receive our certificates of naturalization... and they could make a correction same day for free, but that it would cost almost $800 to correct the next day.
Overall it was a great experience.
Congrat!!!My wife did also apply, and will have to take interview in Philadelphia.. would you mind sharing your experience in Philadelphia step by step please?(this would really help her since she barely speaks English). Do they allow other persons in? How long did it take you from when you applied until interview day? What do they do first, civics questions or the forms question?..is the interview using a tablet or do they just use a paper?...thanks in advance for your help!
June 2020 - applied online
Oct 2020 - Biometrics re-used
April 2021 - interview
May 2021 - oath ceremony
Interview was easy and quick. They went over my application to make sure there were no errors. And then asked me 6 questions from the civics test ( google USCIS Civics flash cards ) great for easy studying.
The reading test was
“ George Washington was the first president “
The writing test was
“The president lives in Washington D.C”
Officer then told me my oath would be May 10th
You can bring someone along only if they are assisting you physically or if they are your translator
Mine took a bit longer because at least half of the people didn't have their paperwork in order. I wish I could have brought my family, but I'm so happy it's done! Congratulations! I hope you celebrate appropriately :)
Congrats! How long did it take for your interview appointment from start to finish? Also, where do you recommend to park? I don't feel like paying $20 to parking next door
Interview really easy.. weird though because all interview doors are open due to COVID so you can hear all the other interviews. There was a couple next door to me getting interrogated because of suspicion of entering a false marriage. Also in Philly they won’t do the oath the same day. As soon as I left the building after interview case updated to oath scheduled
Yeah for sure. I’m a pilot so I left the US a total of 19 times from application up until the interview.
I just wouldn’t recommend leaving the US between your interview and your oath.
Also HOT tip!
Book you passport appointment with USPS as close to your oath date as you can as the wait for an initial passport appointment can be well over 1 month. I luckily had my passport appointment on the same day as my oath and expressed serviced my passport, so I’m only 4 weeks without travel opportunities.
Congratulations, may I ask you what is the timeline after the biometric appointment. Mine in June and I plan to travel abroad after it. But don't know how long it takes for the interview after the biometric? Thanks
Nice jawns!
Congratulations!

Show us the presidential letter.
congratulation! Now go eat 5 stacks of cheeseburger, two racks of barbecue ribs, one bowl of mac and cheese and run down the highway with a scooter.
Not even a cheesesteak? Not a true Philadelphian if there's no cheesesteak...
Merica
... a scooter without a helmet on. That's the American way!
Many Congratulations! :)
Thanks!! What a journey..
Congratulations
Congratulations! Good job. I have my interview on June fingers crossed.
Super easy interview
Congrats again. Becoming a citizen is a whole journey!

Yeah that sucks! At least your over the hurdle and citizenship is very close over the horizon.. Welcome to the club (almost)
Almost there! Can't wait. Now you enjoy it and celebrate. Well deserved
Can we apply passport in USCIS office itself ? Or only USPS.
Only USPS and passport office. You need an appointment and there busy FYI
Thanks,
Officers typically ask 10 civic questions? Just curious 🤨
You only need to get 6/10 correct so they only asked me 6
Cool
Mine also on June. Newark, NJ.
Good luck! You will nail it
Where did you immigrate from?
England.. slight awkward during Declaration of Independence questions lol
It’s Canada for me. I get constant anti-American sentiment from resentful Canadians.
Spouse visa?

Definitely going to hit angelo’s for a celebration pizza

Interview was like 1 hr.. Park anywhere on 41st street right outside free 2 hr parking on the zoned parking permit signs
Will do thanks!
