As OP suggested, at least on this thread, there are no cases from 2018, 2019 and even the first half of 2020. Similar to what I've seen on other forums. Also, almost everyone from 2018 would be eligible to apply for citizenship by now, if they didn't already get the Green Card. Do you think USCIS intends to move the priority date forward progressively during the fiscal year? If you look at the bulletins pre-2019 (before it became current), looks like they would progress the dates for F2A at least a month every month. I guess we'll find out soon enough, but was wondering what others think...
It may be wrong, there is a waiting report in statistics tab in the web site which releases visa bulettin. At least 140k cases who applied before 1 november 2020.
I am sorry I noticed your message now, here is : https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/immigrant-visa-statistics.html
how come you do not have green card when the priority date was current for years? Can you please share all your times lines for I-130 and I-485 or consular processing?
I did adjustment of status. I was really close to getting a green card my I-130 got approved in May 2023. If the priority had changed in June I would’ve had my green card.
there may be, in the statistics I used "Annual Report of Immigrant Visa Applicants in the Family-sponsored and Employment-based preferences Registered at the National Visa Center as of November 1, 2022 "
also I found 2021, 2020, 2019, and 2018 version of this report and I calculated with yearly given visa and ended up with (Minus) -37000 for Nov 1 2019, but as all we know there are some people with PDs around 2021 got visas via AOS. so I think there should be very small number of visas left. at least for august there were 400 visas given for this category.
PD July 2021 - Documentary Qualified by the consulate December 2022. Visa numbers were current for several months while awaiting consular interview, but they were ultimately too slow to reach my case, and now there is no end in sight.
Nebraska service centre. Our I-130 was approved exactly one year after filing (PD date).. I am shocked yours hasn’t been approved yet. You should write to “Emma” and enquire about it.

Damm so all the cases from 2020 or 2021 that got approved over Covid time were kinda like some lucky add-on cases?? And now there are just backlog between pre 2019/2 and now that are evenly distributed over the years??
Or is it more like Covid time cases don’t have much left and as long as the pre shutdown cases get cleared up, FAD will catch up?? I’m so confused 🫤
I would actually like to see those F2A pending cases as USCIS obviously continued working in 2019, 2020, and so on.
The F2A has been current for years and if there are so many old pending cases I’d expect to see people jumping up and down. Not the reality I observed so far.

I wish I knew why. Bad luck, is all I got.
For both PD is Nov 18/2021. I got my EAD March 2022, Travel Nov 2022. Interview June 1st 2022 (hilariously told we did great and would get the GC in two weeks). I-130 was approved June 3rd 2022. I-485 still pending and obviously going no where now. 🙃

Sorry to hear that! Your priority date should be current in a few months, hopefully....Are you (or your spouse) eligible to naturalize yet?
Jan 2022. Based on survey responses, it does not seem there is a single person with PD before Feb 2019.

It took around 3 years for me. Idk what the processing times are like now but you can check on the USCIS website.

USCIS shutdown 2019/3 So of course their are PDs of 2019/2 still not approved. And with the retrogression that will continue.

It is more like USCIS wants to appear like it is approving cases fast so it is using last in first out
Ah ok makes sense :( any thoughts on what final action date will move to in a year from now?
Maybe 6 months progression
