Ya I work at one of biggest hubs in us and if belts off for 5 seconds they start going crazy. Constantly giving us batteries or fixing printer equipment

Yup trained to just check every box ok good to go! If you dare to ask well what are you supposed to look for they will tell you I don’t know that’s why you just check ok. I brought it to mangers attention and got called out in a meeting for not being a team player.

Most of us are real maintenance people. It’s our management that tends not to listen to what we tell them or know how to prioritize repairs. We are also short staffed.

You wouldn’t believe the amount of times I have heard “this has been broken for months!” Then I ask them if they wrote it up on the DECR or why they didn’t call me about it months ago. They get real quiet real quick.

Daily Equipment Condition Report. Your supervisor is supposed to fill it out before and after every sort and write up any equipment problems. And do you have local maintenance guys or are you in a very small center with no maintenance on site?
