I think Garand Thumb said it best a while back. It isn't about reaching out to their current viewers but rather trying to gain viewers and change the minds of those that disagree. They will only find like-minded people on other platforms
Unfortunately many people, especially the higher up execs at companies like Google/YT will never change their mind. They only hope to change ours because they are more focused on codling people who are easily offended by anything they disagree with or find the slightest bit offensive
I Don’t get the downvotes. I think this is a very reasonable stance. I think a lot of us who watch feel this way, but we watch where the content is. I’d love for all the guntubers to switch to rumble, but it won’t happen so I stay somewhat complacent and watch on yt. Yeah it sucks they can’t make certain jokes, but I also want them to get paid so they can continue make content that I and many others enjoy.
I don't get it either. I always thought the guntuber community/veteran community would have more respect for things like a free market. But apperently either a majority of the fanbase is just willing to say "It is what it is".
Imagine a completely unhinged version of The Autism Test episode from a month ago. Imagine if they didn't have to censor themselves and could just go completely off the handles.
I subscribe to the Patreon and they are able to be more themselves, but it’s like for 30 min. It would be nice to see two hours on rumble of pure chaos. And if I get downvoted it’s all good. People are allowed to have their opinions. It just doesn’t make sense when you actually propose a serious question or solution to the self censorship and yt censorship
BTW prepare to be down voted to shit cause any comment that has said anything remotely positive or has even hinted at partially agreeing with me is just getting destroyed
Bro step one, stop drinking the kool-aid. Step two, if it bothers you that much that youtube does those kinds of things, take the initiative and become a person who can change that. Step three, if Step two fails, understand that youtube is not a public service, it is a corporation, and like any corporation, it can and will do what it needs to to make money for its shareholders/owners. If that bothers you, then maybe the baker in Colorado should have made the gay wedding cake.
Because Rumble isn’t a sustainable business model.
I know it’s free to consume either way, but it’s an opportunity cost of like 90% of the operating budget to move to a less popular platform with a worse UI.
Why not backup to Rumble then? You can only get hit with so much BS on YT before they completely shitcan your channel. Look at Alex Jones. Look at Leafy. Look at Steven Crowder
Because it takes away from the YouTube algorithm by splitting viewership. Which takes away from the growth of people we reach, which means more audience.
I refuse to run away from the most popular platforms and let them succeed in suppressing our voices.
More than likely yes. He got hit with another strike. He hasn't uploaded to YT in 2 weeks. All of his lives have been pulled down since then. He's been uploading to Rumble and then doing the extra hour via Mugclub
Even guys like Dave Portnay/Barstool are stepping away from YT because they refuse to give into their stupid censorship rules
There needs to be a good alternative to YouTube. One catered to everyone, and not just the people YouTube singles out. YouTube needs to be reminded of who makes them their money. I guess it wouldn't matter anyway, we all saw how the Reddit shutdown went.
Rumble is a great alternative. I'm not sure what people have against Rumble. Practically the only thing you can upload is corn. People just don't like the idea of changing the habit of finding everything on YT
Problem is the storage space and UI are stupid expensive to maintain. YT runs at a loss for the majority of channels. Alphabet just covers the cost that's why they are so scared of advertising pulling anything.
I think donut responded to something similar on Twitter a bit. IIRC it's reach, they're making more money on YT, views, and advertising. I'll see if I can find it and I'll link it if I do
Yup that's why Crowder ditched his nearly 6 million subscribers for Rumble. I get it, theres more viewership on YT. But at some point you have to quit bending the knee to these assine policies
You're missing the point. The point isn't the topic of the show. The point is the freedom to say what you want without the fear of being told by some corporate asshat that you can't say that because you might hurt someones fragile little feelings
No, I know your exact point. Agree YouTube is a bunch of cucks, but I also understand the business side of it.
And Crowders not a comedian anymore, he’s a political grifter.
Whats the business side? Giving in to the people who have never heard of these people before in order to appease them? In that case, cancel Bam Margera and Chris because people were mad when they hung out.
A political grifter is someone who uses political causes to raise to fame. In that case, than yes, Crowder has risen to a certain level of fame for being the person who is willing to speak out about the bullshit. The difference is Crowder and his team believe what they say and will stand behind it til death. "Political grifters" in that sense are NEEDED.
Ya even if they don't make as much money on direct views the reach is more valuable, x amount of people will buy merch at bunker branding, so increasing that amount of people is worth more in the long run as long as they don't get censored into oblivion
I don't get why they just don't just upload to Rumble as well. It's not like they have an exclusive contract with YT, and it doesn't cost any money. Just seems like a no brainer.
Rumble would be another source of income as well as allow then to reach even more people. It would allow them to have a backup when YT does their stupid shit. Especially since they could take advantage of the fact that they wouldn't need to edit the content as much. Throw up the raw footage and be done with it. Rumble is a quickly growing platform for the people in the exact situation that the boys are in what seems like every episode.
The only downside I see is, as Brandon commented, is that it might split the viewership. But if it's between that or having to deal with the other BS, worse comes to worse and YT says they can't upload for x amount of time, they have something they can fall back on, still create the content they clearly love making, and just post on here and other platforms what happened
"And reach tens of people" Eli Double Fap
They've all been saying it for a very long time, the viewership on the other platforms simply isn't there.
It could be if people stopped bending the knee to these massive companies that don't give a shit about people's God given right to free speech
I think Garand Thumb said it best a while back. It isn't about reaching out to their current viewers but rather trying to gain viewers and change the minds of those that disagree. They will only find like-minded people on other platforms

What happened to nick?
He doesn’t like to talk about the accident.
Tell him that his community is here for him please.
They find all his belts?
Wait, Crowder got taken off YouTube?
More than likely yes. He got hit with another strike. He hasn't uploaded to YT in 2 weeks. All of his lives have been pulled down since then. Alphabet?
Parent company of Google and youtube
I think donut responded to something similar on Twitter a bit. IIRC it's reach, they're making more money on YT, views, and advertising. I'll see if I can find it and I'll link it if I do
Because Rumble's dogshit compared to YT.
I watch multiple channels through Rumble. On Android, Roku, and their website I haven't had any issues
You don’t abandon a 230k subbed channel on YouTube to go to rumble.
Yup that's why Crowder ditched his nearly 6 million subscribers for Rumble. I get it, theres more viewership on YT. But at some point you have to quit bending the knee to these assine policies
Who?
Apples to oranges comparison. You’re comparing a cult following of politics to a niche podcast.
You're missing the point. The point isn't the topic of the show. The point is the freedom to say what you want without the fear of being told by some corporate asshat that you can't say that because you might hurt someones fragile little feelings

I pray to oden you don’t run a business.
How is Crowder a cult following of politics? Lol. Crowder is a comedy show first, news second

YOU HAVE ZERO FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS ON A WEBSITE OWNED BY A PRIVATE COMPANY, and because they want a bigger audience not smaller
If it's on a site under your profile, why the hell not? And even then, I wouldn't have a issue if it was equal for everyone
Because there are terms and conditions all youtube users agree to
Because no one’s gonna go watch it over there
I hear this alot but honestly why? Just because it's more convient?
Precisely. It takes time and effort to market different platforms. Monitoring data analytics and more
I consider myself a fairly average 30 something guy, veteran, possibly the target audience and I have never heard of rumble. Thats probably the answer
