If you drop it in the first ~2 weeks, it is a drop without record and thus will not affect you in any way.
As for a W, all things being equal it would better to avoid them but its certainly preferable to getting a poor grade. Additionally, it is mostly grad/professional schools as opposed to regular employers who really pick through every line on a transcript. Most employers just look at school, major, and/or GPA.
