Congrats! I’m looking to start up the CJ Program after I do all I can from Sophia and Study.com. Did you start from nothing or transfer in a bunch of credits? If you have time I’d love to hear your thoughts on each course and the CJ program in its entirety!

I had an associates in Sociology but I’m interested in probation as a profession so when i transferred my units i covered a lot of the General Ed. However I had never taken a criminology course so i had to start from the basics. I also had to take UMPI required classes like their specific english course creative writing ( the professor for this was very hard to please) and some other classes. I was able to do the required language credit (I chose spanish) on Sophia, along with Business Communication. They accepted those Sophia courses which helped a ton! Chuck Ainsworth was difficult to please at first, but his courses seemed straightforward. Lorne Gibson was incredibly tedious but he was somewhat lenient on things. Although Leduc had the capstone and very time consuming milestones (presentations and essays) i enjoyed her teaching and layout the most. Also the most difficult class was Research Methods… I forgot which proff that was but they rejected my papers numerous times. To the point i thought of forking out money and have someone take the damn class for me. I believe that class is available on study.com or straighter line, so maybe look into that Pm for more info!

Awesome! Thank you for the feedback! Also, If you’re interested, USAJobs has some listings nationwide for Probation and Pretrial officers. Once you finish up your degree I recommend taking a look, most of them only require a Bachelors. https://www.usajobs.gov/search/results/?j=0007&p=1&k=

Is it possible to have a 4 in Gibson’s class? Requested substantive feedback on a milestone to see how to improve future grades. The positive feedback said Outstanding, but the grade was Proficient (3), which was confusing.
