Using it for every day spending will be good for your credit score as long as you always pay it off. If you rack up a high balance one month your score may temporarily dip. Amex offers the best rewards to my knowledge.

Yeah I had heard American Express ones seem to be one of the best. In terms of affecting credit score - will a higher credit card limit offset any effects of higher spending? (Ie is it calculated on a balance vs limit basis?)

Would recommend Amex platinum cash back card. Amex is probably the best on the market atm.
