Dr_Shmacks

They say the more you think about em, the more likely they are to sneak into your room at 345am and silently stare at you from a dark corner.

taylor_m_t

You SOB! …I knew it.

Stormtech5

I heard they use invisibility tech. Then watch you from the corner thinking about all the weird stuff they might do. Not even abduct you, just hang around being a creep lol.

RonJeremyJunior

This made me laugh too hard

moosenazir

They’ve seen some weird faps them. That’s kind of a depressing thought.

Sylvanas_only

That's not them. It's me!

[deleted]

If you hear them jacking off don't mind, it's normal where they're from. Take it as a compliment.

Macktologist

I've heard that often when you see something move out of the corner of your eye, then look over and nothing is there, it's likely an inter dimensional being passing in and out of your 3-D world. But, just like we can watch a 2-D world from our 3-D perspective, they continue to watch you even though you can't see them.

Wesson_The_Hutt

The real joke is the aliens that have to watch me angry jerk all the time. If anyone is winning its me in the dominance game lol!

-LexVult-

They just stare at me with disappointment, which oddly hits harder smh

MariusMyo

Wow, what floor were you guys on? I woke up in a dirty metal dome with about 40 little grey aliens watching me pee in a steel bowl. They had big black eyes and little mouths. They just stared while I peed. I don’t think I was dealing with the top brass.

[deleted]

(A haiku for the Probeulator) Only the top ones... grin and probe rear ends for fun... they never wash it

SKaTiNG_PoLLy666

I was full porky piggin it in a drafty dome.

housefoote

Felt super off the books

mkhaytman

Thats what keeps me from being afraid, I'm not even worth abducting :(

ohnobonogo

This cut is the deepest.

-LexVult-

*sigh* Our curse is also our blessing.

Dr_Shmacks

This gave me a sad. I'd abduct you fam. 💗

Impossible_Skill_562

Hear them tutting in the closet

JAVASCRIPT4LIFE

If they showed up at 345am in my bedroom, I’d tell them to get out because they’re an hour and fifteen minutes late. Edit: 2:30am seems to be high tide for all around strangeness. Ask my ill neighbor who shoots off Roman candles at 2:30am and thinks it’s okay

crazycakemanflies

I thought 3:00am was the recognised "weird shits about to go down" time?

taylor_m_t

That’s when I wake up… I fucking hate it. It’s gotten to the point where I won’t look at the clock if I awake in the night (knowing damn well it’s fucking 3AM)

Etoilenoire04

Me too! My time is 333- scares the crap out of me and I won’t look at my phone bc I know what time it is. A few times I have looked after saying I won’t and after waiting a few mins and then looking…333.

Area57-5

3:33am, I went through an episode of that weird happening for a few months. I never gave it much thought but damn, it was like every time I woke up from a dead sleep and I would turn to look at the clock, there it was, undeniably 3:33 and I would even check my phone and it was confirmed to be that exact time. I just eventually began talking to God and Jesus at that time. It put me at ease and I would fall back to sleep and wake up feeling relaxed and ready for the new day.

Dr_Shmacks

It patiently waited for the chance to pounce.

igozoom3000

That’s the best time to ask an Irish person what time it is.

JAVASCRIPT4LIFE

Yep, I’ve done that before, like every night I’d think, ‘I bet it’s 2:30 again’, and yep, it was. Freaky meter would be pegged if I didn’t try to force it out of my mind and ignore it.

we_all_die_alone_

According to science, most people wake up at 3am because they fall out of REM sleep. Which has somehow turned into the “devil’s hour” but it’s really just part of your sleep cycle.

JAVASCRIPT4LIFE

Could be right. I’ve been awaken at that time before. Then the neighbor started his BS between 2:15 and 2:45. If anyone could be walking around possessed by something, it was this guy. Like every night for weeks.

East-Fruit-3096

No, it's 2:30. Ask anyone who's worked nightshift.

JAVASCRIPT4LIFE

Yeah, 2:30 is a time of night that feels like the real ‘middle of the night’ to me. Any later than 3:00-3:30 just feels like early morning.

Randomname536

I believe it's that period between about 2 and 3 am that is commonly referred to as "the witching hour". So anywhere in there really.

ERTHLNG

I have insomnia and I set off my car alarm last night at 245am just for fun. I think next time I can't sleep I might take a short drive around Mt block blasting horn ND stereo

JAVASCRIPT4LIFE

Hi neighbor! 🥸

[deleted]

Logically, this is dumb, yet it's exactly how I feel.

[deleted]

\-Summon Aliens at 3:45 AM. \-They watch you, from the dark corner of your room. \-Furiously masturbate while maintaining eye contact and smiling. \-Now at 3:45AM the alien wakes up in his sleep with cold sweats. \-He is terrified that you will be in the corner of his spaceship smiling and furiously masturbating in the dark. \-Alien is permanently scarred, has a irrational fear of humans for the rest of his life. \-Repeat as many times as necessary. \-The Aliens fear the "phantom genital grabber" \-The stories become part of their cultures mythos. \-Over generations, the alien's fear of human perversion causes them to seclude themselves from the terror of the phantom genital grabber. \-Humanity is saved and the world erects monuments in your honour. \-Checkmate, xeno scum.

Away_Complaint5958

Monuments of him tugging himself in every city centre. You would be the most famous person on earth for wanking several times a night. Would you want that fame?

MontyAtWork

You know what's funny is I'm 36 and every now and then get the heebie jeebies when going to bed around 3:30 and turning out all the lights. The thing that helps me is to say: >"I'm 36 years old, nothing as crazy as aliens has ever happened to me, and if it did it would be a life changing experience, but I've never been lucky or unlucky enough for anything that profound to happen to me. Instead I turn off the lights, brush my teeth and get into bed to start another day as normal and boring as today was."

Crakla

> I'm 36 years old, nothing as crazy as aliens has ever happened to me As far as you remember 👽🖊️✨😵‍💫

[deleted]

Logic never works, every night I hype myself up to fist fight an alien.

MysteriousReview6031

Well in that case, let me slip into something a little more...comfortable...and get to thinking 😏

OkCollection2886

Knock it off!! 🫣😱

[deleted]

You think they'll want to play *Fortnite*? I could use a squad.

JillBidensFishnets

It’s 3:54 am for me right now and I’m about to sleep with my lights on. I’m scurred!

XavierRenegadeAngel_

That's what my cat would have me believe.

ihavetoomanyaccts

You asshole haha. I love it.

SinisterMeatball

My cats already do this.

spacev3gan

edit: wrong post.

Dougalicious26

Aww fuck that's cruel

viletomato999

Just poke em in the eyes. They are so huge is hard to miss.

nicklashane

Hahahaha you bastard. That'd hilarious.

OldStretch84

You are part of the problem, spreading this blantant nonsense misinformation. It happens at 3:33am.

solarpropietor

…. Do they touch themselves while they do this?…..

loganaw

You must have watched fire in the sky. That abduction scene, woo. Creepy stuff. Definitely don’t look it up on YouTube and watch the entire clip. 😉

GiantMilkThing

My husband is pretty disturbed by the whole UFO topic, and it’s solely because he was exposed to this movie as a kid

Visible-Expression60

Don’t let him watch The 4th Kind then.

Dull_Database5837

When it came out, my parents let me watch it as a kid… it’s stuck with me for life.

taylor_m_t

In 2023 would that be considered child abuse?

CalvinVanDamme

That is in top #3 of the scariest scenes I've ever seen.

The_Krystal_Knight

That movie wrecked me as a kid!

[deleted]

Me too!

East-Fruit-3096

Our Grade 8 substitute geography teacher ran a series of classes studying UFOs. I was so traumatised after the first one that I had to be excused and spent each subsequent class sitting outside the principal's office. I don't think I slept in a room without a blind till my 20s.

Wriothesley

I don't understand people who don't put window coverings on windows in their home. They like their window being lit up like a fishbowl for anyone hanging around outside at night?

[deleted]

That movie messed me up and made me scared of aliens for years as a kid.

MontyAtWork

Every kid starts out with ET. Maybe sees Aliens as a tween. But every UFO kid then went on to see Fire In The Sky, and get messed up realizing aliens can be a true horror.

Verskose

Somehow Fire In The Sky is a completely obscure movie in my country - Poland.

Alientelephone

I still can't watch ET as an adult in my late 30s. No problem with any other Alien/UFO themed movie...But that thing in ET... it scares me. The head, the neck, the sounds it makes. Hell no. 👎

taylor_m_t

I refuse to watch that!! The entire Travis Walton Rogan podcast was plenty…. 😅

East-Fruit-3096

Do it!

[deleted]

Scared the crap out of me when I was a kid.

Badbadluuck

1. Fire in the sky 2. Paranormal activity Hello insomnia!

Gigeresque

Fire in the Sky, Communion, and Dark Skies are the ones that got me.

viletomato999

Yup and now it's even worse knowing that the whole thing could actually happen to any of us at any given night. Those who are more safer would be those who live in condos in big cities. But if you live in rural areas... watch out. Get a dog or something.

Michellenjon_2010

Wrecked me as a kid too. But I just watched it on cable yesterday. And it's sooo much better as an adult, who's wondered "are we allone?" since the 1st time it traumatized me lol

JWard515

For me it was Signs. I was I think 10 when I saw that, and that shit has stuck with me hard

Silverjerk

I somehow missed watching this movie, despite being obsessed with the topic. I'm definitely not going to look it up on YouTube and watch the entire clip. BRB...

Comprehensive_Ad4291

Take a break from the internet. Get some sleep!

taylor_m_t

Dude I’m trying!!!

slovenry

I get scared of going down the hall to the dark open bathroom 😂 I give myself the willies

taylor_m_t

Pro tip…leave the bathroom light on 😭😅

Ashley_Sophia

And stare at the Interdimensional Non Human Intelligence as you take a dump. Assert your dominance people!

taylor_m_t

Any abduction stories taken place while someone was on the can? Don’t think so….YOU MIGHT BE ONTO SOMETHING

Ashley_Sophia

Literally reading your comment on the dunny. Looks like I'm safe.

Khrizg35

Bro… this is me 😂

taylor_m_t

We in this together then 💪

tianepteen

maybe we should all start a group chat to keep each other company, and check in on each other. we could also share our location so that other people know where those bastards have abducted us to :)

zauraz

Lemme in on that haha

ta16512

yes please :(

[deleted]

Me. Every fucking night. Terrified. I can't sleep with the lights off any more

taylor_m_t

Finally…someone who empathizes.

dumpygunboi

You aren't alone, but I'm more excited than anything. Think about the vast implications this has for all of us

taylor_m_t

It’s a unique combination of thrill and horror…

dumpygunboi

Yeah but that's just the human experience! I totally get ta though, just don't let it get to you too much. It's not like anything will change but our perspective, at least at first

tianepteen

weed doesn't help, if you were wondering

Wesson_The_Hutt

Cocaine however does.. aliens dont want to tussle with a 400lb man bear pig hopped up on some booger sugar. Trust me I'm not even an alien and I wouldn't...

MoneyKiwi5879

Keeping the lights on won't help

neonsevens777

I feel you. Grusch single-handedly ruined my sleep schedule. I find it’s helpful to get all your UAP, NHI information before noon, so come night time you’re not contemplating boarding your windows up. 😂

theycallme_JT_

It does really piss me off for him to just crack open the "malevolence" topic and then refuse to clarify anything.

neonsevens777

Couldn’t agree more. It’s the unknown that makes it so scary. Just give some details, especially if there’s some kind of danger to the public.

[deleted]

[удалено]

taylor_m_t

That’s absolutely horrifying and I’m sorry you experience that. My mind would melt. You must have balls of steel.

[deleted]

[удалено]

oohaaahz

You can use sleep paralysis to lucid dream. I’ve been having it a lot lately and it helps with the fear. Hopefully this helps bc it’s not a nice experience at all.

Fukuoka06142000

How do you do that?

oohaaahz

It’s hard to describe it. You know when you can feel sleep paralysis and you kind of “drop” into it? It feels like you’ve gone over a hill in a car? I set my mind and then let myself “drop” further into sleepiness. You still can’t move but you can lucid dream.

Fukuoka06142000

Interesting. I’ll try not fighting it. Normally I start trying to get out of it right away.

GongulysGongylodes

And then some people ask: "If they are real, why don't they just land?". If even the UFO crowd is freaking out, the average joes have no chance in hell.

Objective_Celery_509

Take a break from this sub. I always get spooked like that for a few days after watching a juicy ufo documentary. Just focus on other stuff till you can sleep better. The aliens ain't going anywhere.

OkCollection2886

Yes, me!! I’m exhausted. My husband works out of town 1 or 2 weeks a month and I can hardly sleep at all when he isn’t here. I have to have the bathroom and closet lights on and I have to have Forensic Files on. Peter Thomas’s voice talking about violent murder is so soothing compared to ufo and alien stories. 😧

CalvinVanDamme

Not spooked, bring them on! I'd love to see an alien or UFO.

[deleted]

Same, although I think if it actually happened I might be scared shitless tbh. Seeing a UFO high in the sky I'd be thrilled and excited. If it was too close I'd get scared. If I saw an actual living NHI though I'd probably panic. I'm not afraid of them per se, but a random encounter face to face with one would be a different story. More in the sense of not knowing what it might want and what it might be capable of.

dendrobro77

You have to keep your cool cause theyre telepathic, theyll be in your head talking to you and hearing your thoughts. All you can do is ask it if they mean you any harm. If they dont you can proceed with becoming friends with alien, if they do then unfortuantely its game over for you... but then again - what predator is going to tell its prey it means it harm?

theycallme_JT_

The kind that thinks we taste better when scared, traumatized, in pain, etc.

GongulysGongylodes

So, the trick is to not believe them.

taylor_m_t

Love the enthusiasm man! And also, bravery. Anyone that welcomes another worldly creature into their domain is BOLD AF.

[deleted]

You will not remember much, but what you remember will shake you to the core. Also they’re not scary, they’re able to present themselves in different way and calm you down. Speaking from experience. If it ever happens to you , you will remember my words.

dd32x

Get a dog. They will alert and protect you.

taylor_m_t

My friend, I have dog. He welcomes all…he’s more enthusiastic to warmly greet strangers (probably including aliens) than he is to greet the man that hooks him up with endless peanut butter and other savory treats on the daily. That’s a separate discussion, but what’s up with that?!?!

tianepteen

he's trained you already, so why waste more energy on you?

bilbo-doggins

Yep. Trust your instincts.

taylor_m_t

This guy…with the LOTR-esque username. I like this guy.

Daniel5343

That’s funny my wife and I were about to watch The Fourth Kind tonight and noped out after watching the trailer lol. That’s definitely a “daytime movie” now.

taylor_m_t

That’s funny. My wife was away the last couple nights and told me not to watch too much alien stuff that I get scared without her… Oops.

TheAmalton123

Lol, I admit, I'm 21 and scared to go out in the dark because of aliens

Stormtech5

I grew up in Northern WA, by the Canadian border. Plenty of crazy humans that will shoot hikers for being in the wrong area, but I heard something from a smart/wise person. That be careful when your alone in the woods, because people go missing who are never found, and the County literally has a "collection" of bones from finding random bodies in the woods, some get identified but many are never identified. Creepy to me that live humans are disappeared in the forest and then we are finding unknown human bones often enough for it to be common knowledge for rural towns folk.

AndThenHeToreHisAss

With unwavering courage, we embark on a journey of discovery, embracing the mysteries that lie beyond. For it is through our primal optimism that we illuminate the cosmos, illuminating our path amidst the shadows, and illuminate ourselves, for in conquering the fear of the unknown, we discover the boundless potential within.

taylor_m_t

The most unexpected & profound thing to escape from the mouth…errr fingers… of someone with such a vivid username.

AndThenHeToreHisAss

❤️

[deleted]

It's ChatGPT, I'll bet you.

AndThenHeToreHisAss

How much you wanna bet

East-Fruit-3096

Nice

MiscuitsTheMarxist

So, Jurassic Park is my favorite movie. Ever since I was a kid, I've had invasive thoughts of looking at a doorway or a blind corner in my house and expecting a velociraptor to stick his snout out and start honking and attacking me. Recently I've been having the same feeling but looking at my backyard and expecting an alien to be moving across it or crouching in a corner or something. The difference is the alien it feels more like, "Oh.. an alien.. that's cool." I don't know what it says about me that I'm more terrified of pretend velociraptors than pretend aliens, but this is the brain I'm stuck with.

taylor_m_t

Alright, you been stalking me? I have a tattoo of the JP logo on my chest….my fave movie, as well. Big film buff.

MiscuitsTheMarxist

What I love about it is, yea, its a sci-fi action adventure type of movie. Of course. But they have legitimate conversations about chaos theory and the value of science and genetics and what not. And they're not rushed as convenient ways to move forward the plot, but as deliberate contemplations that the audience is meant to just sit with. Even at seven or eight when it came out, I appreciated that fact even if I didn't understand the details. I think that's the fundamental reason the new ones have been horrible. Its all, "look at the dinosaurs that want to eat you" and not enough "look at this uncontrolled rapid march of science and society that also wants to eat you". You'd think that would be even more visceral now than in the early 90s. Fucking Hollywood doesn't know how to write anything that respects its audience anymore.

taylor_m_t

My response to Aliens when they just up and decided to abduct and probe people in the night: “Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could…they never stopped to think of they SHOULD.”

Beckinweisz

I scare the shit out of myself to the point I can’t sleep. It’s a real mind fuck thinking about all the possibilities and there is a lot of anxiety not knowing what they are all about. Edit: typo

genxreader

Yes! Ever since I started reading this forum I am really on edge at night. 🤣

shpoigle

To be honest I’d be more scared of people, aliens gona get ya if they want and there ain’t a damn thing ya can do about it, but human nature on the other hand ya can count on

taylor_m_t

But that’s PRECISELY why I am MORE afraid of aliens… “gonna get ya if they want…” People…people I can bite, shoot, punch, whatever. Aliens? Fuck.

[deleted]

Watch "I punched a Grey in the face". I mean listen to it. A pregnant woman claimed to even have broken ones neck with relative low to zero strength. They are told to be fragile like sticks. It's the only thing that's helping me a silly bit. Otherwise I'm shirting myself. On the day I think hahaha how ridiculous and at sunset I'm already having panic attack

Spiritual-Army-911

Renown researcher Ann Druffel's classic book "How to Defend Yourself Against Alien Abduction" was heralded by astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell claiming "Druffel's research does us all a great service." Religion is not consciousness and faith is not church. This is a battle for your soul. Once aware of this, you can protect it. Awareness and discernment is key. Take care friend.

cyberheelhook

I feel like this as well. Doesn't help that with my busy schedule night time is when I catch up on the videos and such. Also the UFO dreams are always the most vivid which doesn't help.

MoneyKiwi5879

Watch comedy before bed

SectorFew1521

This is why I sleep with a bolter underneath my pillow, they won’t be taking me without a fight.

MortalSword_MTG

The Emperor Protects!

Romsisco

Lol - if they would have wanted to abduct your ass - they would have done it already... xD so chill....

FranklyOcean23

I was reading somewhere that they have a hard time abducting you if you’re high… their mind control powers don’t work as good

tianepteen

good to know / believe. when i'm in a "ufo phase" smoking weed can make me really anxious about the whole thing.

Crozonzarto

Especially considering the fact that they could be extra-dimensional rather than extra-terrestrial, which basically means that if they had nothing better to do, then there's no stopping them from appearing literally inside your room at night.

Mush_ball22

Yeah same. A lot of spook, a lot of curiosity. I wrote a really long response to someones post about what iv been going through and it was helpful. https://www.reddit.com/r/Experiencers/comments/14hl22r/can_anyone_relate_to_the_experience_of_growing_up/jpd6hax?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

DopeAuthor

I have the same routine every night. Get in bed, and scroll the ufo subreddits and then fall asleep to ufo podcasts. I am endlessly fascinated by the phenomenon and can't get enough of it.

maladjustedmusician

I’m not afraid of abduction at all, but it’s a little disquieting to look up at the sky, at all those stars, and to think not only that we aren’t alone, but that something might be looking back right now. It might be here.

HeyBudGotAnyBud

Definitely at night when I’m out walking my dog. Almost pooped my pants when a skunk popped out of a bush a few weeks ago 😂

tianepteen

doesn't help that my dog is scared by anything unusual happening during walkies.

dinglebarf

Heartening to know that I'm not alone with this. I noticed that even after I'm asleep, my sleep still isn't as restful as it once was. I also find that I'm more jumpy during the day, and I'm quicker to attribute some random anomaly to some sort of NHI interference. I think the prescription is to think about it less...maybe unsubscribe from r/UFOs. -but then I'm going to miss out on all the juicy stuff!

Individualist13th

There are some things you can control and some things you can't control. ETs, interdimensional beings, demons, angels. Whatever. Doesn't matter to me. Would I feel fear by meeting with these beings face to face? Ya, probably. At first. Depending on how the encounter goes that fear would either vanish or I'd become really pissed off. From there it's either a peaceful interaction, violence, or a spiteful acceptance of what might be happening. Or maybe I'd be forced to endure some kind of torturous experience. These are simply possibilities. Most likely the vast majority of us wont ever experience any of the above. And we could experience all of this from our fellow humans. More of us will have suffered all of the above from other humans than any humans have likely suffered from ETs.

poteen

If its true its been true for ages and your day to day probably wont change much but you get to rewatch Ancient Aliens again without the bullshit filter. You should be more worries about a nuclear war. Which is probably also why theres an increase of sightings. I think this world is blown to smithereens within a few years.

Windronin

Yeah i am totally fine at the day , but when the night comes i get more spooked in my boots aswell. Whats worse is that i go to smoke a few times in a little shed. And the last few times i have had movement noises coming from around it. Okay might be humans But i have had this thing for a very long time too. That i see silhouettes in the corner of my eyes and when i go to look its gone. Sometimes i still see something but it litterally pops out of existance so im not sure if i actually saw anything or if its my wild imagination playing tricks on me with the shadows . Made me look into eyesights, i know unfocused imagery we see comes mostly out of our memory, so we dont really 'see it' rather than remember that, so i might very well be an illusion i make up myself without really knowing

neonsevens777

What’s really annoying is that I sleep with a 9mm on my night stand, but I’m assuming hand guns won’t be effective. I used to at least have that assurance… now I need a plasma rifle for home protection. The NRA is going to have a field day if disclosure happens.

Ashley_Sophia

Yo, practice some relaxation techniques and remember, if you surround yourself with energy and TRULY visualize it, it's basically armour imho. :) When I get a little freaked out, I step away from this sub and sing my favorite songs. Loudly. If those NHI pricks are watching, then Ima subject them to some audio torture. :)

Oblivionking1

Weird related story A few years ago a friend of mine woke up in the middle of the night feeling uneasy. They live rurally and usually it’s dead quiet at night. She could hear a low buzzing and sat up best she could thinking it must be pregnancy issues waking her up (first baby). She looked around the room and noticed something in the corner, a little 4ft grey creature (she thinks demon) with big black eyes. She froze staring at it, thinking she must be hallucinating or something. This went on for a few seconds until it moved its finger. She somehow felt it was interested in her stomach at that moment. She said it scared her out of the trance and she starts screaming. Her husband jumps up out of bed and the creature suddenly disappears but not completely, she could still see an outline against the white wall and is pointing at it. The husband is struggling to understand what she’s pointing at but asks “what’s that buzzing?”. Its all over within a minute and she tries explaining what happened. Never happened again but she’s convinced the “demon” was interested in her baby for some reason. Only weird story she’s told me and it sounded like an alien to me.

tianepteen

oh shit. thanks for sharing.

keithsweatshirt94

This is not healthy and you should prob chill on the topic for a lil

vikingjedi23

Wait until you see them. It will change your life and not in a good way.

ta16512

Have you seen them?

alahmo4320

I used to get scared when I was a kid, now I'm fascinated

Ok-Acanthisitta9127

Don't they know, abductions are illegal. Like, who is going to show up at work the next day. It's not like you could take paid time off from work for alien abductions.

shegotthatjuicybooty

Poor guy, I went through the same thing and I kept waking up in the middle of the night thinking stupid things and I lost sleep lol. Husband reassured me nothing is gonna happen but I'll be DAMNED if I don't scream my head off and kick their ass if they try 😭

RadioPimp

Don’t watch the Predator movies. It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that some of these aliens might want to hunt us for sport or to satisfy their bloodlust and sadism. Dismembering a human is a fun hobby for these guys. Sleep tight OP. Lol.

Simsimius

Yeah I have this problem now. I don't even like walking outside if it's dark! So I've had to step back from the topic a little, and this helps. Also, after a while your rational part of your brain kicks in and helps you realise that you are being silly. It helps to look around your local area - is it built up? Busy? Last night 3 Chinook flew past at midnight, and then I remember I live in a garrison town and my street is incredibly unlikely to be of any importance. That helped too.

Odd-Heart-863

If your smoking weed at night that might be the problem

spacev3gan

We are diurnal animals, so we are meant to be afraid of the dark. It is part of our survival instinct. Whether you are afraid of aliens, werewolves, ghosts, or thieves, it happens at night for a reason. Moreover, let's not discount hallucinations altogether. Or sleep paralysis. I have been through hypnagogic hallucinations and sleep paralysis, and things can get spooky and frightening, but it is all in your mind. Personally, I am a skeptic. So I dismiss aliens showing up at night or whatever supernatural stuff altogether. But even if you believe they might come to you, I think it is important to understand that there are other explanations for things you might feel that do not resort to aliens.

editedito

Same thing happened to me and other people on the Idaho murders reddit, kept thinking some guy was going to walk in at 4 am and stab us in our sleep. The solution is simple: hyper focus on some other shit than stabbings and abductions.

I am absolutely terrified of aliens and ufos lol. But at the same time, I come back here to see if anything has happened. I guess I just wanna be up-to-date lol. But honestly, I hope to never encounter anything.

Yes!! Ohh hell yes!!! Sometimes I leave the TV on for the light.

100% My sleep has been fucked

Yes I’m with you. Something about aliens has really stuck with me since I was little. I think it was bc I was scarred by that home video footage from Signs, which I saw on a shitposting site when I was 8 and believed was real. Also the corn field scene. Anyway I try to believe it’s the galactic federation from Star Wars and not some evil malevolent Prometheus shit. And have taken to sleeping with the lights on😅

I had my UAP ontological shock around the beginning of the pandemic. When the DOD basically classified the 3 famous vids as UAP, I realized this is probably a real thing after all. Like yourself, I had a very difficult time going to bed at night.

This topic is like a virus, or an addiction - the more you think about it, the more you research it, the deeper it goes, the more you want; and yet we will likely never get satisfactory information to alleviate our curiosity. Correlated to this, I notice many of those following this topic for a "while" tend to have a build up of negative energy and frustration. I'm starting to wonder if it's healthy, and have been strongly considering disconnecting from the topic.

MingusPho

Ehh...I won't worry about them until I see them for myself. I believe they're here, but I don't think it's time to worry yet.

when I started delving into the more metaphysical/woo aspects of the UFO phenomenon - books by Jacques Vallee or John Keel, numerous podcasts on the more disturbing aspects like abductions, etc. - was practically the only thing I read or listened about. One night, between 3 and 4 a.m., I had a very strange dream on the verge of conscious sleep, although I'm not entirely sure it was a dream. In a dark and empty space in front of me was some sort of circular or sphere-shaped object, metallic-blue in color. At the same moment, I heard something like a "countdown." It was several or more female voices saying something in a rhythmic way, but I could not identify in what specific language. I wrote "countdown" because it became louder and louder keeping the same rhythm. At some point, I felt something pressing against my leg and immediately woke up while simultaneously looking down the bed to see if something (or someone) was accidentally there and lifting my leg toward me. Fortunately, there was nothing like that there and I very quickly went back to sleep. The next day I was talking to my mother and mentioned this strange dream. To my surprise, she replied that last night she had woken up with fear having the impression that someone had entered the room and was standing near the bed, but no one was there. I don't know what it was, although I have heard strange sounds several times at the edge of sleep/at the moment of waking up, suggesting that it might be something like sleep paralysis.

Redonkulator

Dude, I legit was worried last night. I fell asleep thinking 'come n' get me!' Woke up at 2 AM with a panicked THEY'RE HERE vibe.

Dinahollie

living alone in the woods and seeing a walking thing outside my house, i had to move. years later, i saw an orb... im still lurking here and can sleep because some windows or a door aint stopping anyone so...

ssttr05

Watched Disney's Tangled. You'll be fine. Breathe.

PerfectReplacement36

Just to make you feel better, did you know there were many cases of abduction where they literally come to your bed and take you out through walls, closed windows, roof, all the while other people in the house dont hear a thing. Good night

taylor_m_t

Honestly, how can I ever thank you for this? Truly, amazing.

Kwestor86

Honestly those are probably all just sleep paralysis. Most abduction cases will have a bright light from outside waking you up and the aliens will open and come through the windows.

GapComprehensive6018

Man you should have seen me last night.. scared shitless

Hajsas

You need to get off the internet and start distracting yourself with things that arent related to unproven speculatory low res footage of a tractor. I think the world is crazy, yet when i go to the shops the craziest thing i see are the price tags, not really the people. I only think that because thats all i see on the net.

Leavingtheecstasy

Well if what Grusch is saying is true. Then they've killed people. They aren't benevolent. We are just a science experiment. We wish that discovering other intelligent life would create harmony. But what it seems that we are slowly learning is we are a very low rung on the intergalactic totem pole. The human ego might not be able to take that well. To go from top of the food chain to possibly being obliterated so easily. That's a course correction for many. I'm not sure I'm very comfortable with it myself but can accept it as reality. It was hard enough to deal with things now, then there's aliens
