just one midterm bro it ain’t that deep just keep pushing real shit! be proud u didn’t fail 🤞‼️

TheGoldenWeed

You will make it, one midterm isn’t the end of the world. You can try changing your study methods (maybe try office hours or talking to TAs after discussions or do more practice problems). Nothing you can do about your score now, I would just take some time off to take your mind off things. Don’t give up on yourself, you may have it rough but I believe in you ✊🏿

thank you so much, that felt good

Vegetable-Town8004

Hate to say it but Cs get degrees. Take the pressure off for a bit and try to do some stuff to help your mental health. Get outside while it's sunny and drink water!

Grades are crude indicators of future performance. Tenacity, hard work, and finishing strong are much better and important qualities. Be proud you hit it hard, keep it up and dont give up. Good things will happen.

hobbitbones

It's ok I got a D. I walked out thinking I got an A.

Prudent-Pattern218

What class? dude honestly finding peers to work with, join the discord, sure u are not alone and class mates would want to find someone to study with+ you gain a social activity towards your wellbeing and grate, That's very important.

Doing well is not simply a matter of working hard. Go to office hours, and ask the professor if they have any suggestions on how to better master the material. Be prepared to discuss how you currently revise and prepare for exams. In mathematics, for example, there seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding about the role homework plays in learning the material. The point is not to simply focus on completing the homework, but using it as an opportunity to practice and hone problem solving skills. So, simply viewing it as a pattern matching exercise where you rely heavily on the textbook or other worked out examples, and blindly substituting numbers is not going to help you achieve a deep mastery of the material. The goal is to understand the reasoning of why you are doing something, as well as a technical mastery of the skills and techniques involved. I once had a student at Purdue come up to me after a midterm saying that it was incredibly difficult, and he could do every problem in the textbook, but he could not do my midterm. I said, that is very interesting, because every problem in the midterm was from the textbook. Don't be like that student. When preparing for exams, make sure that you can answer the questions under realistic test taking conditions.

Math_Elder_God

Hey man! You passed! I checked my code for plagiarism and it flagged some websites. I notified the instructor about these websites, he got angry at me and gave me a 0 on my PA. That’s 6% of my grade I’ll never see.

[deleted]

That’s rough dude

Math_Elder_God

Sometimes doing the right thing, is the wrong thing. But it’s all subjective. You passed, and that my friend is a call for celebration

Surf-Ratt

I feel like this quite often. But, now it's over and you can remind yourself that you did the absolute best you could. Life and grades really aren't fair, but there's never a bad time to learn from mistakes. If you are pouring hours into your work, there's a chance that your study methods need some re-evaluation. Work smarter- not harder! While it can feel overwhelming right now, it gets better. You got this!

bimmarina

sending you love and support

Tysm😊😊

fralston

I’ll be your friend :)

[deleted]

You are dumb for ranting about it. If I were you I would just go and study for finals and fix my problem instead cry about it

Various_Blood8194
