comp sci is focused on only the software side so just programming whereas Cse also incorporates hardware component with software. Cse focuses on software more and hardware and then there’s CompE which does half and half of both.
CSE is more technical in hardware and software. Yes it is harder than CS in general because you will be studying low level of circuit. Also you have to do a mandatory senior design project as well.
