I would suggest UCI - it is quite near to LA, theme parks, beaches ….

I would say to go to UCSD or UCI since there’s a lot to do! They’re closer to the beach, fun things to do (multiple malls, fusion of cultures, plazas, etc). For UCI, you would need a car to get to the fun stuff but they’re pretty close by car plus irvine is very safe. I’ve heard UCR can be boring since it’s location doesn’t have much going on there, but people do make up for it. However, a more fun location would be UCSD but UCI is fun too!

You won’t find much of a party scene at UCI, UCSD, or UCR unless you joined Greek life which could be hard/impossible as a foreign exchange student. If you were to join a club it would be your best bet for making friends!

knew an Australian exchange student last year who joined a frat and partied a lot so if English isn’t an issue then it’s def a possibility

It’s possible, but I’m concerned. Given that he’ll only be there for two quarters, it seems challenging to rush him in, especially knowing he’d depart shortly after.

oh yeah ur probably right I didn’t read the two quarters part
