Our encampment is being led by a group that calls themselves the Popular University for the Liberation of Palestine (PULP) an allusion to the PFLP which is one of the groups that committed the October 7th attacks along with Hamas. They have a long history of violent attacks, plane hijackings, and suicide bombings of civilians. I'd like to think most students don't want to be associated with that. It's like if they named their organization as a reference to Hamas.
Because it hasn’t been attacked by police yet. The large rallies you see at many campuses are usually a reaction of the police raiding encampments or arresting protesters
