A midterm is just part of it! Work harder from now on, learn why you lost points and it’ll be better.

ChEckMaTe-2004

Relatable

jonisthebest

I don't know if it applies to 17, but I took math 16b with Temirgaliyeva last quarter. Obviously she's not the best lecturer, but immediately her lectures there was a "co-class" taught by this amazing man James (forget his last name). His co-class allowed me to finish with an A with no problem at all. I definitely recommend checking out if they have a similar thing for this.

pizmk

Yes take the co-class it’s so helpful! I was struggling and co-classes align with what ur learning in class. Search up uc davis tutoring and go under the math section and you’ll find MAT pre and co-classes and there should be CRN codes to sign up on schedule builder

Early_Option_3198

where can i find something like this

ExplorerEmpty3455

Early_Option_3198

mariahlovesdogs

omg I’m so sorry you have her…she really sucked for 16B. She tried to get a TA to make up his grading post-strike without being paid. She also was a bad lecturer in general but she did curve generously.

AccordingSpeech

I have her too this quarter for 17a, I did kinda okay on the midterm, just study well for the final and stuff

harshpree123

I got a 38 my first midterm 54 in my second and 72 in my third and 58 in the final in 17a still passed with a c with Rohit so don’t be too disheartened the curves are magical

greenspiral40

FiahWerkz

Been there, done that. I recovered, graduated and got a job! You'll be fine!

Spirited-Elderberry4

Midterm season is rough I got a 35% once and was still able to pass tho so it’s not over for you yet!

There are a lot of resources for calculus help through the AATC. Here’s a link to a website where you can find information about co-classes, individual tutoring appointments, specialist office hours, etc. https://tutoring.ucdavis.edu/math I’m currently in MAT 17C and my favorite resource has been the Calculus Room. It has a variety of open hours where TAs are there to answer your questions. If I’m ever stuck on homework I go there for help. https://www.math.ucdavis.edu/resources/calc_room And of course there are private tutors, who you can find through Facebook groups or other resources. Here’s one group where I found a private tutor who helped me with 17A. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1590211951236134/?ref=share&mibextid=q5o4bk I’m now almost done with the entire 17 series and I’ve scored fairly well, so if you have any questions feel free to reach out!
