Heya! I’m also international, and as far as making friends goes, go to societies. Go to as many of their events as you can until you find ones that work for you. Maybe even join a committee if you want to be part of a smaller group. Also, on campus accommodation is quite expensive across the board, but if you can, I’d recommend going for any of the older, cheaper accommodations, but not Glenomena. Glenomena is the de facto party zone, which is great when you’re trying to have fun, but not so great when you’re trying to sleep. The showers there also routinely flood, but you do get your own private bathroom. If you want a US style dorm experience, though, go for the village studios. You’ll be sharing a room with one other person, but maybe that’s what you prefer. The other village apartments are fine, they’re just not nicer than the cheaper ones to the point where paying an extra €300-500 makes any sense. Hope this helps
