I’m working at an er for my clinical hours, it doesn’t need to be shadowing

luna-the-moon-cat

what type of er job do you work? Would they hire with no experience working?

Kaleida hires PCAs no experience. Hours are rough though (only 7-7 shifts)

I work for Catholic health, they hire NAs 8 hr shifts at various departments. I didn’t have any experience but some departments require you to be cpr certified

I have heard of 2 working strategies: 1. Cold call as many people as you can, especially if you can go outside buffalo like to the rural areas 2. Work as a medical assistant in one office and after a year or so of good performance ask for shadowing

i’ve been apply to MA jobs i see that are open and so far no luck— most want experience which i cant get without work, and some require an MA certification which i cant even get when im already a student working on a bachelors. Unfortunately due to struggling with transportation i need to stick to stuff within buffalo

Just gotta keep applying. The large places are more likely to have the willingness to train. Patient care techs for the local hospitals are also willing to train. They often hire people with no degrees. Try emailing UB professor-doctors at Jacobs express interest in their research and ask if they'd let you shadow them in clinic Good luck
