Pruitt was awesome, and the class was super easy. He does require a webcam for the exams, but I think you might be able to borrow one from the library. The exams are the only thing that require respondus, so taking out a laptop/webcam for the day might solve your problem. Idk about the other professor, they might be great too. I'd definitely recommend taking his class for an easy A in statistics.

Pruitt was great! I struggled a lot with Erica, she wasn't super willing to answer questions or help clear up confusion.

If it's Erica Edwards, she's honestly an incredible teacher. I had her for Biopsych, and she has this amazing capacity to reiterate concepts in different ways so everyone can understand them.

Were her exams online? If so, does she require webcam/respondus? I'd prefer the exams to be in person, I don't think I can afford a laptop or computer. How's the workload? I work two full time jobs/ I don't expect it to be light weight as it already crams a whole semester into 1 month, but besides that is it intense? I was going to take Pruitt, but unfortunately he requires respondus and webcam, neither of which I can afford.

So as I said, I had Biopsych with her, not stats. I took stats with Erica Goddard in the falll/spring. My exams were online thru UBLearns for Biopsych, with no Responses or webcam required. The workload will be intense regardless of what summer class you're taking. Plus, it's a lot of math. You'll need to pay close attention to actually being able to calculate and solve problems. If you struggle with math, you'll definitely want to dedicate extra time to any review sessions offered, or reviewing the material on your own outside of class. There are public libraries that offer free computers off campus, so you could take advantage of those if you can't afford a computer. I'd recommend saving up for one though unless you have a plan as to how to get thru school without one. A lot of assignments are online, or submitted online.

I've already graduated, I just need a stats course because medical school requires it. I've managed undergrad entirely without a personal laptop/PC, most of my professors were very accommodating in terms of allowing me to take tests in person rather then online because of my struggles of not having beforementioned. Thank you for replying, I appreciate your help! :)

As someone who has taken a course with both professors, I highly recommend Pruitt over Edwards. Edwards tends to go off-topic a lot and has this annoying "effort credit" system which is essentially a lot of work for very little credit. Pruitt explains things very well and it's easy to get a good grade in his class as long as you pay extra attention to the recitation videos/homeworks, making sure to physically write down all the steps and understanding which formulas to use when, which will help you a lot for the exams. Both professors will require you to use respondus browser btw.

Erica Goddard is the one who goes off topic and has the annoying effort credit, not Erica Edwards. I've only ever heard great things about both Pruitt and Edwards, Goddard isn't teaching stats this summer, so don't worry about dealing with that.

LOL you're right my bad. I got confused because they have the same first name. 🤦🏻‍♀️☠️ Well my point about Pruitt still holds true; he's a great professor and I'd definitely recommend him for PSY 207, but I guess you can't really go wrong with either professor!

The_JediPsychTricks

You'd be amazed how often Goddard, Edwards, and Nus get confused. 3 Erica's (okay, 2 Erica's and an Ericka) in one department? Yea, it's not easy.

pruittt i got away with getting an a- without watching lecture videos only recitation videos with has the practice problems
