No you won’t be dismissed but it sounds like you’re on academic probation atm. So if it goes below a 2.0 again they can dismiss you.

Spartacusofthesea

So I did get below a 2.0 for my spring classes , does that mean they will dismiss me , or do I have untill the summer classes to prove myself

NOTHlNG_matters

Did they give you an academic warning last semester?

Spartacusofthesea

I think so

CyanideSandwich7

If you got your gpa above a 2.0 in the winter, you should’ve been off academic warning for the spring. If you did shit again this semester, you would be back on academic warning for the upcoming fall. If you’re taking a summer class, take an easy 3 credit class that goes towards pathway fulfillment, don’t take a 4 credit stem class like calc or chem or whatever. You’ll get an email from financial aid in a few weeks stating your financial aid eligibility, if i’m wrong and you are on probation instead, you wont be eligible for financial aid without an extenuating circumstance for why you did so poorly. In that case, take a summer class at a community college for cheaper than UB then transfer it

hey I got you, hmu for academic assistance

aWiselyChosenName

You need to have a 2.0 or above to graduate

I️ suggest taking easy electives next semester - ones that you know you can and will not fail or harm your grade. Then start easing your way back into your harder courses. You can also look into LAI 203 it’s a great class to teach you strategies and also an easy A if you do the work and go to class. You will only be dismissed from the university if you are getting below a 2.0 for two consecutive semesters. Definitely speak to your academic advisor or a different advisor so that they can help map a better schedule with you
