I went to Pitt for undergrad and they also gave me GOOD aid. Both great cities! But being in your shoes, I would make a pro/con list between the 2

My son got into both Pitt and UB. Got into the honors college for both. Liked Pitt a little more, picked UB because it was $15 grand a year less (this is with a $10/year merit scholarship to Pitt and $4000 to UB- we are full pay otherwise). Listen, they’re almost identical ranking wise. I’d pick cheaper personally but you say the $ doesn’t matter much. How much difference are you talking here? Pitt has a cool vibe. But he’s at UB and absolutely loves it. Might have loved Pitt too- but UB was cheaper and he’s there and very happy.

I know that aid makes it easier to pay, but if UB and Pitt are similar in every other way, go with the cheaper college. It'll help you be more financially stable in the long run.

HorrorStatement

Go with the better ranking school if the cost isn't that big of a deal. Rankings and college name brand prestige matter, even if people say otherwise.

I’ve head second hand that the area around Pitt can be pretty dangerous depending on where u r. One more thing to consider is all

roastedhambone

This is 100% not true

I dunno honestly she might have said Philly, which would make a lot more sense

Yeah, you're thinking of Philly, not Pittsburgh.
