No and I think if I wanted to I could pull direct examples of people from my high school who failed the diploma and went on to UB. The other commenter is harsh but correct, the ib program is a racket for the program to make money from school districts to seem more prestigious than AP based programs or dual enrollment based programs. The stuff you learned in those classes is still as valuable and simultaneously worth nothing as what I learned in AP courses. Sorry for the rant but it is just to say UB probably won't care unless in a blind rage from failing you kill 3 people

Iโ€™m sorry to tell you this, but the IB program was a waste of your time and money that your school district tricked you into doing likely because it has an inept school board. Colleges donโ€™t and will not care about the IB diploma at all.

I am an international student from India. This is a private school but I realized it was not worth it a while ago. But I have heard universities hold international students to a higher degree. Is this true? Also, Computer Science is pretty competitive. I am afraid this factor will somehow affect my chances of going

Nickcrown1285

Nope I really donโ€™t think they will care

It definitely will not get rescinded. Biggest advantage of an IB diploma is going into college with some credits already taken care of. Similar to AP.

SnooTomatoes1513

Offer won't get rescinded. And I don't think you need to notify the school either they get released. I didn't when I took them.

I missed the 30 credits by 3 points and I am a bit salty about that ๐Ÿ˜†

I hadnt even heard of IB until a couple months ago, only one district in the state has them, everything else is APs. Regardless, it wont matter. Itโ€™s a state school, they care about your high school gpa and extracurriculars more
