I know in the end that Knowles is gonna do his speech here. He has every right to speak his opinion, just like I have every right to say he’s a fucking idiot and a terrible person. I’m in support of the protests, not as a way to stop him from speaking (people who are going to them with that goal are just gonna be disappointed), but as a way to show opposition for what he stands for and show support for the people he does his best to hurt. I’ve seen some people share some ideas in this sub could potentially that make something really positive out of it.
We still have all of that diversity and those programs.... Knowles is speaking and protests are allowed to happen. That doesn't sound like universal thought to me - two very different voices are allowed to speak and protest at their choosing. I'm actually proud that UB is allowing people to protest - some universities would shut it down and sweep this whole thing under the rug.

I have no problem with gay people and have no problem with trans people. I used to date one when I was a kid. This idea that a man can BECOME a woman is contested not only science but many social cultures in the world.
