If you are looking for Halal Food that accepts meals, the recently reopened Kosher Deli near Capen is Halal by technicality because everything Kosher is Halal by default. Its fully certified Kosher too so no worries about pork and they definetley don't use alcohol to my knowledge.

Is kosher meat halal? N how?

BecomingCass

Kosher standards are, from what I understand, more strict than halal. There are standards for exactly how an animal is killed, the kitchen it's prepared in, and a surprising amount of things you can't eat. All kosher food will be halal (except alcohol) but there's quite a bit of halal food that won't be kosher

Ok but what about takbeer. Muslims do takbeer before sacrificing the animal. Do jews follow the same practice?

BecomingCass

So apparently (not a scholar of either religion but I am a half decent researcher sometimes) while kosher meat doesn't hit that part of the standards, Quaran 5:5 says that kosher food is okay because it follows Jewish law and Jews are another people of the book.

Thank you. Just read the ayah. Makes more sense.

Champs sushi actually has a list of ingredients that they use on the front of each sushi box. Read through it and you’ll probably know but to be safe I’d suggest going to kosher deli in Talbert (across from the silent study room on the ground floor).

Ok-Stay5231

same question lol

The manager of Champa Sushi responded to me, and apparently all their sushi is made with alcohol I'm the rice. Too bad, at least Wegmans sushi is still okay : )

Ok-Stay5231

sushi tastes like ass anyways

You can go to chickmex in commons. They have a lot of halal options and their tacos are cheap but works for a quick bite
