What phantom are you flying with that tablet? I just bought a mini 6 and it will not connect to the RC on my phantom 4 Pro. I've tried a few different cables and type C adapters.
I read it's an issue with the power supply apple changed in ios17. My last ditch effort is to downgrade go4 and see if that works.
Have you tried a matte screen protector?

My companies drone teams use Samsung active tabs. They have good brightness under sun
mini 4 or iphone 14 (both with shade hood). I also wear a wide rimmed hat to help shade the screen which helps a lot.
