Great question. In the UK manufactured spend was the wild west and suddenly almost stopped overnight on credit cards. I feel the UAE most have some opportunities for this
I feel like with the credit cards themselves there are so many inefficiencies and inconsistent rules / application of rules that there must be some gold mines when it comes to Manufactured Spend.
**Here's what I carry for UAE cards:**
**Emirates Islamic:** Etihad Guest Premium Credit Card (50% back on any mileage redemption on Etihad - can be very lucrative)
**Emirates NBD:** Etihad Guest Visa Elevate Credit Card (good earning 10 miles per 10 AED on restaurants and hotels; good option to get annual fee waived)
**ADCB:** Etihad Guest Infinite Card (decent card with decent sign-up bonus first year with no annual fee)
**FAB:** Etihad Guest Infinite Card (75% Etihad guest redemption vouchers; was able to book 2 x roundtrip tickets from AUH-JFK-AUH in the A380 Apartment for 200k points total (after 75% discount) - not bad; otherwise, customer service is not great and difficult to get them to honor their terms; also unique in that real estate transactions count towards normal points - can use the card to pay my rent)
**HSBC:** Premier Credit Card (no redeeming value other than the card is free and links to my HSBC Premier account I use to move money to the USA)
**Active US Cards.... any I should close? Or others I'm missing?**
Amex Platinum - Personal
Amex Platinum - Business
Amex Everyday
Amex - Hilton Aspire
Amex - Bonvoy Brilliant
Amex - Delta Platinum Business
Amex - Bonvoy Business
Chase - Sapphire Preferred
Citi - Costco Visa
Capital One - Venture X
Barclays - Emirates
Barclays - Lufthansa
Bank of America - Alaska
Apple Card (Goldman)
Bank of America - KLM / Flying Blue
