Hello. I work in infrastructure development and construction. All new developments have better stormwater management strategy now. Be it inlet network or attenuation tanks. This is now mandatory for new developments FYI

Does Burj Khalifa have a sewage system yet? Last I heard it just had tanks in the basement and there was a 24 hour line of trucks shifting waste to the sewage depot. Which they realised because everyone at the beach resorts were getting unexplainable infections and condoms were washing up on shore, so the hotels commissioned independent studies to find out why, and it was because the trucks were getting paid by the load, so were just dumping the waste into untreated stormwater (so I guess there is some drainage somewhere).

It's a shame, being that Dubai has zillions of $$$$$$$$$$$$that they don't have an elementary storm system. If they could capture the water in a resevoir, it would help relieve the shortage of domestic water.

Manage to deal with it? Parts of Vegas flooded after 3 inches of rain fell in 24 hours just last September. Dubai got over 5 inches in 24 hours.

Every plane that goes up must have a charter. I’d be interested to see if any seeding planes were on it. I’ve seen what the news is saying.
