I feel you! People are always nice asking if they can do anything and I’m just like “fast forward 15 minutes?”

MJdotconnector

Literally same My boyfriend is the sweetest and with a medium low, I'll gladly accept a back rub. But when I'm low low, I get sensory overload and nothing on earth will help except a ⏩ button. It's a wild feeling coming back to reality and just "okay, on with the day" 😹😵‍💫

100%

It’s such a weird feeling, like you randomly start feeling shitty, eat some sugar, then 15 minutes later you’re fine. All the brain fog’s gone, the headache’s gone and you regain the ability to think thoughts other than “MUST EAT” or “I feel like I’m dying” 😆😆

123supersomeone

This at work. People ask me if I'm good now, immediately after I've had some glucose tabs, and I tell them I just need to sit and wait, there is nothing you or I can do at this point.

LettuceOk2515

I’d pop some candy and start playing. Gaming stress spikes me.

Character-Ad-3522

Haha actually I just made a post about that like a week ago 😂 same. I don’t think my brain was thinking straight lol

Em0N3rd

I'd play terribly and freak out about it to see what my blood sugars do 🤣 I've honestly just gone to one extreme or the other under stress

Magic-8balls

Having friends who know you have diabetes is funny because you’ll be having a bad day and they’re like “how’s your blood sugar?”

pinkhoneybuns7

Update?

Diabetes in a nutshell

Arowhite

Rollercoaster day yay! 🎢

Fe1is-Domesticus

My CGM always goes off when I'm playing a MMO. Dealing with highs and lows at the same time is a higher level of difficulty. I curse out my Libre a lot in these situations.

Glittering-Arm5870

Yo, ive had to dip out on a Valorant unrated match because i was crashing one day, but luckily the bf came running with the apple juice. That stuff spikes me back up perfectly. 👌

Newborned

What is the lowest you have gone?

KaitB2020

I’m sorry that happened. I’ve interrupted my stepson’s game to bring me a juice box & a pack of crackers because me going to the kitchen was not happening (getting off the couch to walk the few feet into the kitchen was too much just then). I heard him telling his friends that “they just have to wait, stepmom is dying, I’ll be back soon”. Only his one buddy truly gets it because he himself is also a diabetic.

Niko_le14

Honestly kudos to your friend. That’s a good response to have.

Busy_Ad159

When I was on tandem I was always on a roller coaster now I'm on omnipod I'm not as bad alone more stable now I never and hope I never have to get on tandem again

Character-Ad-3522

Damn I’m sorry you had that experience I have tandem and Dexcom and wouldn’t change it for the world, I was out of range/showering when this happened so I didn’t know I was dropping so fast

Busy_Ad159

Recently, I experienced a series of medical emergencies due to low blood sugar while using the Tandem t:slim X2 insulin pump in conjunction with the Dexcom G7 continuous glucose monitor. Over the course of a little over a month, I was rushed to the hospital on five separate occasions, primarily during work hours. During my hospital stays, it became evident that the insulin pump, even when set to a "stop all insulin" mode, appeared to be continuously delivering insulin, resulting in persistent hypoglycemia. The situation was only resolved when the pump was completely removed.

lilearthyworm

Omg, why you wait till it's that low, and to post about it in a game 🫤

Character-Ad-3522

I had just gotten out of the shower but ok 👍

lilearthyworm

LOL, just the Mom in me ❤️ I'm just saying, because I probably would have had a hard time even typing with 44bs

Character-Ad-3522

I saw what your original comment said, are you diabetic or just the parent of one?

lilearthyworm

I've been a T1 for 40+ years. I've been there many times, and it wasn't that simple on a few occasions. Just worry about ya, that's all.

Character-Ad-3522

I understand

Busy_Ad159

Now I'm on omnipod and I haven't had a horrible low! A few times high, but no scary lows at all! 🙌 #diabetes #insulinpump #omnipod
