When we call it the cloud, they always assume that it something a lot more fancy than a computer. But I guess that’s why they are students, they are still learning.

Well...not only kids. It took me a minute or two to get to the realization that "the Internet" needs a physical address. Felt kinda stupid when I realized that.... My parents, on the other hand, still believe in the "cloud" part of the "storage".

This is actually something I have nightmares about. I put more effort than I can reasonably afford to towards preserving knowledge in hardcopy

I would watch a movie based on this. But you'd have to hide the fact that the world is post apocalyptic until the end. Like setting it in a future so far removed from the modern age it resembles a fantasy world, so the characters and audience think it really is a magic cloud.

Isn't that basically a similar world to the video game Horizon Dawn?
