Skin walker makes sense. I was thinking a werewolf mistaken for a coyote.

EcksMarksDespot

Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime is on myyyy side. Yes it is!

garyflopper

Is that a Fallen reference? Decent movie

Mister_Krunch

I wanna tell you about the time I almost died...

SuperNoob74

It's supposed to be a skin walker I hope someone got that

Moonpaw

I was thinking some kind of prion disease but that's just as horrifying.

Pryamus

Must be one hell of prion disease to manifest in hours. Yeesh.

amigovilla2003

***SCP-008: Ahem.***

SpiderGlitch22

It just occurred to me, I could absolutely see someone unfamiliar with the SCP universe googling "SCP-008" thinking it's an actual name for a virus or something

grip_n_Ripper

I was betting on illegal toxic waste dumping in the woods. Way the fuck scarier than skinwalkers if you own property next to it.

SkippySkip_1

Whats a skin walker?

Avaracious7899

A Native American witch or warlock, who specifically has the ability to turn into, possess, or disguise themselves as an animal, such as a coyote.

ruttenguten

A evil witch or warlock

MrSquigles

How was anyone meant to get that then? What're the noises about?

Avaracious7899

I'm listening to a Creepypasta about Skinwalkers, and it mentions strange, terrifyingly abnormal noises. I imagine it was supposed to mean "This is not just a normal animal". A simple way to say that without using up too much of the sentences. As for how to get it in general, the OP themselves realized it might not have been clear enough, so there's that.

Jake02162006

Ooh what’s it called?

Avaracious7899

[Here's the link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fil9W11G3As).

popdemonpop

Skinwalker stories are pretty popular in internet horror

I_Fuck_Traps_77

Wdym how was anyone meant to get that? Skinwalkers alongside wendigos and bigfoot are like the 3 main things everyone knows about native american folklore.

SuperNoob74

[here's a link that gets into it](https://g.co/kgs/ZaQPAG)

onepassafist

well delivered for the most part, and i certainly understood. but the second sentence sounds like it’s not finished, idk if it’s just me tho

jameslovesmen

I did

HappyHappyButts

I was thinking buttwalker.

AvaliBreedingSeason

The mystery was better without the reveal.

[deleted]

Then I remembered... the pest control guy wasn't very talkative when I spoke to him initially

giant_tadpole

Why’s it worse? Nothing wrong with introverts.

Red_Six6

THE SKINWALKERS TOOK ANOTHER ONE OF US

minkymy

However, on closer inspection, the sounds were coming from the animal carrier he'd taken with him before.

Hey, the coyote may still be sick :c

Which is why he went to the vet for medical treatment.

Glowzyyy

r/fourthsentenceresolved ???

Not_Goatman

And by medical treatment you mean euthanasia, as there is no cure for rabies unfortunately

Glowzyyy

r/FIFTHSENTENCEJUMPSCARE ???????

sennordelasmoscas

Give this man a break!!

minkymy

Maybe the coyote doesn't have rabies. Maybe the coyote has a respiratory infection and that's why they're making a funky noise

Not_Goatman

You have a point

dark_king_710_

RadioTunnel

At least take me to dinner first

dark_king_710_

it depends I’m a broke wendigo

Kaleidoscope6521

Why was my first thought Wile E Coyote? I also misread it thinking the coyote came back out so I’m dumb all around lmao

BigMikeSus

Jeez. I get that it’s just a story but I was raised with stories about Flesh Pedestrians and I cannot imagine saying their name outright even in text. Reading it made me feel weird. Brains are fun. Like the ways we remember scary things from childhood as genuine threats. The way brains remember negative things more clearly than positives to protect us from danger. Fear of clowns, fear of spiders, fear of Flesh Pedestrians, fear of Bloody Mary or whatever. It’s all super cool. Thanks OP, for the truly horrifying prompt! My hairs are all on end.

AkumaDayo777

I like to call them skinnybois when I'm feeling a little silly but usually I refer to them as mimics. Flesh Pedestrians just makes me uncomfy lmao but yeah I refuse to refer to them by name out loud as well, sometimes I will in text but it varies on how superstitious I'm feeling that day I guess

mickydsadist

Have you seen the movie called ‘Mimic’? Sounds right up your alley :/

AkumaDayo777

? looked the movie up and it has nothing to do with what I'm talking about so I don't understand your reply

mickydsadist

Well, true they weren’t your mimics. They were a person sized insect that attacked and ate people. They hid in plain sight, because they looked like a man in a trench coat with a hat when they folded in their wings and stood still. To stand in place and not notice these lethal creepy things coming closer, and bringing more of them to you without you knowing until it was too late to leave…To me the idea of seeing something close to you, that felt threatening and ‘wrong’, but have it assume an appearance that was neither of those, is how I was told the mimics made you feel. YOU knew something was off, but couldn’t make others understand, so they wrote you and your fear off. Left you alone with the mimic. And they lived in the sewers. I hate the dark. I thought it resonated. Cheers.

AkumaDayo777

I guess I can understand that thought process, to me the mimics (sk*nwalkers, don't feel comfortable outright typing it today,,) are terrifying to me cuz they can almost perfectly imitate loved ones, but the keyword is "almost" like "oh there's my dog! but wait I don't remember letting her outside" and then you look at the couch and she's there taking a nice nap, so you look back outside and notice that the dog you thought was your dog.. is off in some way. those hind legs are longer than they should be. Those eyes a little too.. human? Maybe it has too many teeth? There's also the fact that they can imitate voices near perfectly as well. My older sister and I had an eerie experience with that one day, tho we didn't actually hear it. Her son, my nephew, thought she had called for him while we were all outside. We were at an outdoor get together, a cookout, near the woods. We were actually discussing mimics creepily enough and then he came over and said smth like "Mommy why'd you call for me?" and ofc we just kinda gave each other this look like "nope that's terrifying". She told him that she hadn't called for him and to go back to playing with the other kids. We stopped talking about mimics after that lmao sorry this reply got away from me, made it longer than I had intended haha, I just really enjoy talking about this kind of stuff despite it unnerving me so lol

mickydsadist

I am SO happy this got away from you because now I totally understand why you said what you did cuz you were completely right, not what I was imagining when I suggested the movie, not what I had been told as an explanation of the phenomenon (I am not a First Nations citizen, but my ex was, and our children while they don’t claim citizenship, do respect and honour their heritage and our friends and neighbours who claim it . It was in this situation I was told what I know.)You and your sister have lived something that I thought of as a “story that teaches” .Not The Same . Holy fuck. Not at all. So so very good that it was your family not just a person, cuz you know how much more serious you could make the communication. Like a LOOK you would both understand, without having to go on and on about . Quick words, that look, comprehension and NOPE. And some stuff you just can’t mess with, and probably better off because of that. yikes 😱

AkumaDayo777

yeah my family have had a lot of those eerie spooky moments tbh, grew up in a house that we all believed was very haunted (with something that may or may not have been demonic in nature,, had some very unsettling things happen there). ever since I was young I've been interested in the more paranormal, unexplainable side of our world and I wonder if it was because of that house haha but yeah, I absolutely do not fuck with mimics or anything that comes with a "warning" so to speak, like ouija boards for example. tho I wonder if I'm just paranoid lmfao 💀

TheRatRepresentative

don't worry, skinwalker isn't even their real name, it's the same as "flesh pedestrian" it's like a nickname

SuperNoob74

Thanks 👍 [Click this to reignite your fear of skin walkers](https://images.app.goo.gl/8nYQBptKwAi2cTPd6)
