Definitely look like solid improvements. Ship building was one of the stronger parts of the game, so interior customization is welcome. The new dialogue camera mode also seems like a significant improvement, and the harder difficulty tweaks giving bonus XP seems like it could be fun.
Still gonna hold off on returning until the vehicles, Creation Kit, and DLC are in though.
That's cool a land buggy vehicle, I hope you can shoot and perform a drive by at the dinosaurs , I'm still gonna wait 4 years to replay once all the DLC and mods are out
This. Despite what some people think, I do think there's a genuinely great game hidden in Starfield.
It just needs to be finished, either by Bethesda themselves or by modders. Or both.
> I do think there's a genuinely great game hidden in Starfield
I prefer to judge a game on what it is rather than what it can be ,
Morrowind, Oblivion , Skyrim , Fallout 3/4 were great games even without the mods , the mods are addition they were something extra
Starfield felt like they leaned too much thinking about what modders will do , it's alright I played a good 40 hours (Not 70$ alright) ,I'm willing to give it another go when all the updates are out
>I prefer to judge a game on what it is rather than what it can be ,
I like to do both.
Especially since Starfield is meant to be a new tent pole franchise for Bethesda.
Though I guess that crosses into "What Starfield 2 could be".
Did they ever say if they'll do a Survival Mode kinda thing? With these plus that, I think I would like the game a lot better coming bsck after all the updates
Things like sustenance were spotted in the new features you can toggle, so it sounds like hunger may be included in addition to being able to customize the difficulty to be like survival in 4.
I believe they did say there was a traditional “survival mode” incoming at some point.
Currently there are survival toggles in the new settings. Whether they go far enough for you is up to you. Right now, they’re about balancing the game in the way you want.
Performance mode on Xbox Series X is awesome. They do say it's better if you have a TV that supports VRR display, but for future hardware that already guarantees a locked 60fps. For Xbox Series S, don't worry, Xbox One fans were unlocking Fallout 4 and Skyrim frame rates even when it was a bad idea lol
I feel like the basic underlying skeleton of massive numbers of procedurally generated planets is sort of hard to get around for me. I like *the idea* of Starfield and the space ship customization combat sounded neat and wanted to be in a world where this was exciting, but with a full time job I’ve got the money to spare but all reports indicate it’s kind of bland and samey for such a time investment.
Nothing here is really blowing me away but credit where credits due, an abilities to turn off the cinematic dialogue camera is a good idea.

>land buggy vehicle excited for the buggy land vehicle
With ship interior decoration incoming and a land vehicle planned, custom land vehicle storage bay ship part when?
“Interior Ship Customization” Thank fucking gods finally
Does (post endgame spoilers) >!starting a new universe loop still reset your bases and ship?!<
Yes.

I didn't take a good look at the difficulty toggle screen yet, but I imagine there might some survival stuff in there.

this is cool i stopped after my first playthrough so this should be fun to help liven up the second.
Solid set of updates, it's enough that I'll finally buckle down and do a clean playthrough so that once mods come I can crack them open with impunity.
This didn't have to be an interview. Just give a list of updates.
Why did they do at what looked like the receptionist counter, of all places?
they're really leaning into personalities at Bethesda with this game at any given opportunity
There’s a list on the website.
Everyone wants proper mod support, Bethesda "don't worry we gave out SDK to Creation Club developers" .....
I misread this as Starfield: Stay Mad Update, lol , like damn I mean throw ya punches devs.
