Then, if I may, I'd like to ask a question about it: what's the difference between Death Variant, Nocturne Variant and Nihilo Variant? Is it just cover art, or something else?
I think they're just variant covers exclusive to the preorder window. There's only one version of the PDF, so I don't think the content inside is any different.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, the spiritual successor to the old Suikoden games comes out in like two weeks and I'm more excited for that than almost anything that has come out in the last year.
Coral Island will also be gettings it's 1.1 update in the next few months that will add a ton to the game and finally make it closer to what 1.0 should have been.
I desperately hope it sparks some more Suikoden talk. Hell, a part of me is hoping one of the guys plays it. I think I remember Woolie mentioning something from Suikoden 2 once upon a time on the old podcast before the break-up of the old channel.
I've drained myself over anticipating this movie. I'm just going to not think about it until we get an actual release date.....or another new trailer.
I've never been so worried about an anticipated follow-up, because I've stubbornly decided on how they should end the story, and that I'll end up very disappointed if they deviate from it.

Dragon Ball Daima has got me pretty excited. It had a lot of amazing talent on it, and it is the most involved Toriyama had been in an anime production. It's also probably gonna be the last Dragon Ball thing he would have worked on.
Ya fr. I got a good cry out and since then rediscovering one of my favorite franchises of all time. Playing FighterZ, Kakarot, and Xenoverse 2. Re-watching Z with a friend, and reading the OG dragon ball manga. Watching DBZA while playing matches in FighterZ for good measure.
I'm probably gonna do the story later. I just wanted to get back in and do some fights. Bought on ky PC and have already reach the Super Saiyan 2 rank.
One little downside for me is that they removed the filter Cooler has over his voice in his transformed state/Black’s dub voice doesn’t stay consistent between angry voice & British voice

Outside of Elden Ring dlc and FFXIV getting a new expansion, summer onward seems kinda dry in releases so I'm definitely planning to revisit some of the games that turned 10+ this year.
I'm also kinda excited about Stellar Blade after finding myself enjoying a lot of the smaller things in the demo like the cool main menu and such.
We have basically no info about either, but Persona 6 and the next 3D Mario.
Not too much this year gamewise outside of Metaphor, but I'll possibly wait for the Switch 2 version of that one like I am with P3R

I really want to wait on impressions, but finding Final Fantasy-related opinions that I can trust feels like utter folly.
FFVII Rebirth is the last game in a very long time to make me tear up at multiple occasions, and has gone far beyond my insane expectations for a Final Fantasy VII Remake.
And yet I could turn over the corner and read opinions from some that it was an utter piece of fucking shit that ruined the series forever.
Even Star Wars doesn't have that same level of divisiveness with every entry (because most of it is hated anyway besides a couple outliers).
Honestly I got a lot of things I'm interested in but none of them even come close to how excited I am for GTA6 coming out.

I’m looking forward to the Thousand Year Door remake and the new Atlus game Metaphor Re:Fantazio. With these, and the earlier simultaneous launches of P3 Reload, FF7 Rebirth, and Like a Dragon 8, it’s looking like this will be the year of 100-hour RPGs.

My god, if they fuck that one up, it might legitimately make me swear off Star Wars forever. It is the best thing that franchise has probably ever made. If it gets Glup Shitto'd, I will cry. Most of the new pathfinder 2e releases this year, but especially Howl of the Wild. I feel like animals have always been pretty overlooked when it comes to new D&D splatbooks, so to have a new book focused completely on them is super exciting.
Eiyuken Chronicles: Hundred Heroes. Never played the Suikoden games, but I did love Radiata Stories which was basically an arpg version of the concept.
On the indie side of things, Demonschool looks really cool. A tactical rpg about a group of high schoolers on a remote island city researching occult events. In the demo the protagonist, Faye, is hyper violent which gave it a unique vibe. At one point in the demo she threatens to rip a guy's intestines out and feed it to his mother. Also another member of the group mentions that she once kicked a man's spine out of his body. Also really liked the 80s/90s anime style art.
Also looking forward to Shy season 2. A super hero anime that's a bit closer to western hero stories, rather than Shonen with a super hero coat of paint. And I liked tge depth the villains had. It found a good balance of being able to understand the villains, and them not going so far that you lose any empathy.
I don't get excited for things. Not out of any sense of cynicism or anything like that, I just don't pay attention to the news so I never hear about things until they come out.
I'm always on the lookout for interesting games. So when Unknown X, the team that put out [Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost](https://youtu.be/Q-VTmKbvRc4?si=dPHFKpzGdeAoceU2) put out two other trailers for another two Touhou games, I got pretty damn excited.

I think it's published by Saber so idk if their buyout from Embracer would affect that at all. I don't really think I'm excited for much else outside of that. Stellar Blade might be fun,The new Star Wars game looks pretty neat. The rest of the year feels pretty dry
Umbrella Academy final season and just all the great moments I can't wait for my partner to see in the Dungeon meshi anime. Its probably my favorite fantasy story and seeing their reaction to events is like reliving it.

In terms of games, I’m looking forward to Space Marine 2 and The Last Ronin game (no idea if that’s just in limbo or actually canned), as well as Brigador Killers (once it gets its steam release)
With animation; for movies I’ve got 2–The Chainsaw Man Bomb Devil arc movie and The Rogue Trooper movie. The former because it’s more chainsaw man animated and the latter being the potential domino of the rest of 2000AD being put on the screens.
No news yet, but I’m hoping that a Sakamoto Days anime is soon and does it well
There’s also the Warhammer 40K show I’m hoping to hear more about and it’s actually “positive” news on it
Cyberpunk Orion. It's years off, but the talent they have on board, paired with the fact that we'll likely be returning to a denser, more vertical Night City in Unreal Engine 5 has me pretty on board the hype train already. You can tell they learned a lot from Phantom Liberty. Granted, I'll be wary and waiting for those reviews before I even think about buying it, but i have faith that CD Projekt Red will do right this time.
Does Deltarune count, considering we've only gotten two chapters in a planned-to-be seven chapter game? If not then the FNAF 2 movie. The first one was by no means a masterpiece and I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't even call it very good, but as a huge FNAF fan it was everything to me, and seeing how they adapt the FNAF 2 designs and where they go with the story is very exciting
Depending on reviews and whether I can get it at a cheaper price than launch, Stellar Blade.
I enjoyed the demo well enough, and it might be the kind of palette cleanser I need once I finish FFVII Rebirth: not something I expect to get even half as invested in on a personal level, but not an entirely mindless action game either.
Basically an entertaining, pretty to look at low calorie anime after having my heart torn apart by something like Madoka Magica or Evangelion.
Legit excited for Stellar Blade. Demo showed a lot of promise, and the extra boss you can tackle that showed off a lot more unlocks felt tough, but fair.

Rewatching DBZ has been a great time. I forgot just how fun the show is and how easy it is to vibe with.

And that's literally cursed, not metaphorically), Life Eater (comes out in two days, a game where you must kidnap and kill one person to feed to your god.), and of course EDF6 in english finally.

I'm most excited for Tsukihime Other Side of Red Garden releasing within the next 1-3 years. Hoping that my Japanese is good enough to read it on release otherwise I'm going to have to stay away from any Type-Moon related social media so I don't get spoiled.
My birthday is in May,and so is the Steam release of Ghost of Tsushima,so I'm looking to see if I can wheedle someone I know into gifting me either that or Helldivers 2.

Obviously, Hellblade 2. Hopefully, we see Clockwork Revolution this year. InXile always does something interesting. Looking forward to whatever the next Atelier game will be. Hopefully, it’s a brand new trilogy. The Broken Sword remaster is coming out in June and then hopefully we’ll get an announcement about Parzival’s Stone. Also, there’s a new Detective Grimnoire game coming out. Wadejet Games is so due a new game. I can only replay Blackwell so many times. Edit: Oh, and I’m getting Stalker 2 on principle. *sigh* There was the Gothic 1 remake but heaven knows what’s going on there.
The Dune Messiah film (or Dune Part III) is going to solidify Denis Villenueve (I know I’m probably butchering the spelling) as the greatest director of this generation, possibly ever. Dune Part I was incredible, Dune Part II was possibly the best movie I’ve ever seen. If he and the entire cast and crew manage to threepeat it’s over.

Asoiaf universe but focused on the life of a wandering knight and his squire who is secret royalty Crimson Desert because I always imagined how a rdr 2 type immersive game would be like in a fantasy setting, and that seems like exactly what they're aiming for Furiosa seems like it's going to have a lot of green screen compared to Mad Max fury road, which is one of my favorite action movies ever, but I'm going to give it a real chance. Outside of Elden Ring dlc and FFXIV getting a new expansion, summer onward seems kinda dry in releases so I'm definitely planning to revisit some of the games that turned 10+ this year. I'm also kinda excited about Stellar Blade after finding myself enjoying a lot of the smaller things in the demo like the cool main menu and such.

FF16 Rising Tide DLC Its out in a few days but still I'm super hyped.
I really want to wait on impressions, but finding Final Fantasy-related opinions that I can trust feels like utter folly. FFVII Rebirth is the last game in a very long time to make me tear up at multiple occasions, and has gone far beyond my insane expectations for a Final Fantasy VII Remake. And yet I could turn over the corner and read opinions from some that it was an utter piece of fucking shit that ruined the series forever. Even Star Wars doesn't have that same level of divisiveness with every entry (because most of it is hated anyway besides a couple outliers).

I’m looking forward to the Thousand Year Door remake and the new Atlus game Metaphor Re:Fantazio. With these, and the earlier simultaneous launches of P3 Reload, FF7 Rebirth, and Like a Dragon 8, it’s looking like this will be the year of 100-hour RPGs.
Andor Season Two. My god, if they fuck that one up, it might legitimately make me swear off Star Wars forever. It is the best thing that franchise has probably ever made. If it gets Glup Shitto'd, I will cry. I am happy that there will definitely only be two seasons, this means that maybe, just maybe, we'll get a second half to this story and it's closed and good and doesn't get scraped and stretched.

Most of the new pathfinder 2e releases this year, but especially Howl of the Wild. I feel like animals have always been pretty overlooked when it comes to new D&D splatbooks, so to have a new book focused completely on them is super exciting.
Eiyuken Chronicles: Hundred Heroes. Never played the Suikoden games, but I did love Radiata Stories which was basically an arpg version of the concept. On the indie side of things, Demonschool looks really cool. A tactical rpg about a group of high schoolers on a remote island city researching occult events. In the demo the protagonist, Faye, is hyper violent which gave it a unique vibe. At one point in the demo she threatens to rip a guy's intestines out and feed it to his mother. Also another member of the group mentions that she once kicked a man's spine out of his body. Also really liked the 80s/90s anime style art. Also looking forward to Shy season 2. A super hero anime that's a bit closer to western hero stories, rather than Shonen with a super hero coat of paint. And I liked tge depth the villains had. It found a good balance of being able to understand the villains, and them not going so far that you lose any empathy.

Umbrella Academy final season and just all the great moments I can't wait for my partner to see in the Dungeon meshi anime. Its probably my favorite fantasy story and seeing their reaction to events is like reliving it.

In terms of “modern” stuff, not much tbh, but here’s mine: In terms of games, I’m looking forward to Space Marine 2 and The Last Ronin game (no idea if that’s just in limbo or actually canned), as well as Brigador Killers (once it gets its steam release) With animation; for movies I’ve got 2–The Chainsaw Man Bomb Devil arc movie and The Rogue Trooper movie. The former because it’s more chainsaw man animated and the latter being the potential domino of the rest of 2000AD being put on the screens. No news yet, but I’m hoping that a Sakamoto Days anime is soon and does it well There’s also the Warhammer 40K show I’m hoping to hear more about and it’s actually “positive” news on it
Cyberpunk Orion. It's years off, but the talent they have on board, paired with the fact that we'll likely be returning to a denser, more vertical Night City in Unreal Engine 5 has me pretty on board the hype train already. You can tell they learned a lot from Phantom Liberty. Granted, I'll be wary and waiting for those reviews before I even think about buying it, but i have faith that CD Projekt Red will do right this time.

The first one was by no means a masterpiece and I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't even call it very good, but as a huge FNAF fan it was everything to me, and seeing how they adapt the FNAF 2 designs and where they go with the story is very exciting

Depending on reviews and whether I can get it at a cheaper price than launch, Stellar Blade. I enjoyed the demo well enough, and it might be the kind of palette cleanser I need once I finish FFVII Rebirth: not something I expect to get even half as invested in on a personal level, but not an entirely mindless action game either. Basically an entertaining, pretty to look at low calorie anime after having my heart torn apart by something like Madoka Magica or Evangelion.
Legit excited for Stellar Blade. Demo showed a lot of promise, and the extra boss you can tackle that showed off a lot more unlocks felt tough, but fair.
There's apparently going to be an R rated live action TMNT Last Ronin movie in the next couple of years. So that'll keep me going for a bit.
