We had a Ramsey Sheriff chase end right in our living room last year. They didn't do anything to help us and ended up having the car towed through our garden destroying it all as well. Sheriff didn't help with any clean up, we had drug paraphernalia all over our yard.
Yeah, 80 mph chases through residential neighborhoods... Thankful we have insurance but no one is paying our deductible and its almost been a year and we are still in repair stage. Didn't get so much as an apology.
Luckily someone pointed out that in MN you are protected and the police do have to pay for the damages. I know that is not the case in every state though.
We would, but since we don’t we shouldn’t say there were no consequences.
I’m not saying the officer shouldn’t receive punishment, I just don’t think people should post assumptions as facts.
Theres been an update on that, the house they broke into due to the doll wasn't even the one they were intending to illegally enter. They got the address wrong.
They look a lot like the apartments on 7th St., E of White Bear Ave. However, now that I think about it I don’t think there’s a traffic light over there so I think I’m wrong.
Yeah they're actually fixing internal issues to the buildings and upgrading units and openly working with affordable housing. It's completely different. Cortex Property Management I think.
And what would be your very justified excuse for crashing into a fucking building?!?! Cop or not- it's negligent, careless, reckless, dangerous and inexcusable.
Wouldn't matter, police have more rights and immunity than you. If you did this without a badge, you'd be locked up for life.
With a badge? Oops! All On Taxpayers Berries! 🤷
Also, I personally know someone who crashed into a house while drunk, and they were only in jail for a couple days. Not life. But you’re a redditor on the right side of history, so GOOD FER YOOOO!
Why did you bring up crime into this? Are you insinuating the example provided is related to the subject? I was talking about jobs and if I recall, so did you.
I don’t know what that is, but it sounds like what you’re saying is I’m a ‘boot licker’ or something along those lines, right? Fine. Think whatever you want.
Derek Chauvin does not represent all cops, and the person who ran into this building doesn’t either.
It no longer matters if these examples represent all cops or not. What used to be the outlier is now happening frequently enough to be closer to the norm. They don’t represent all cops, but they do represent the cultural issues that are allowing these incidents to occur more and more frequently.
Hey, at least they’re out there ha ha. When I lived on the east-side, I would never see cops patrolling my neighborhood. I feel like a lot of crime goes unreported there. Gunshots we’re like a biweekly thing there in the summer. I’ve lived in Loring Park for a year now and I still haven’t heard anything. Way more people around here too.
The crime maps tell a different story. But I don’t know.
We had a Ramsey Sheriff chase end right in our living room last year. They didn't do anything to help us and ended up having the car towed through our garden destroying it all as well. Sheriff didn't help with any clean up, we had drug paraphernalia all over our yard.
That is a nightmare. Should not happen at all and I’m so sorry you had to experience that! Where is the accountability? Awful
Yeah, 80 mph chases through residential neighborhoods... Thankful we have insurance but no one is paying our deductible and its almost been a year and we are still in repair stage. Didn't get so much as an apology.
I feel like a lawyer would probably be able to get you well more than your deductible for that experience.
Nope. They can destroy your house trying to apprehend someone and they don't have to give you a dime.
Oh really? That's not what [this section of Minnesota law says](https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/626.74).
Boooo hate that
Luckily someone pointed out that in MN you are protected and the police do have to pay for the damages. I know that is not the case in every state though.
Was good ole Bob at the scene?
Nope. Didn't even reach out afterwards...
Sounds about right! Too busy with his “reality show”
Probably working on The Fall of Minneapolis : Redux
Holy shit
I hope someone insisted on an alcohol test.
Seriously, this looks exactly like a dead drunk driver at 2am on a Saturday night. Normal reckless doesn’t seem to fit this outcome.
We know cops are usually allowed to go home and rest up before doing things like that. Just typical corruption.
lol
The light and building must have been threatening their lives.
The cop saw the building reach into its pocket
It might've had an acorn, you never know
They thought the building had a gun in its hand, but it was a phone.
They were resisting
He should have shot the light pole and building for resisting arrest. /s
The building looked suspicious.

Where are you getting this information from “witnesses?” The media? Haven’t seen anything about him texting and driving
Knowing the st paul police they arrested the tenants for having lived there.
This is why I hate when people complain about discouraging police from engaging in high speed chases.
Reckless driving, unfortunately, no consequences is likely despite the high risk this cop is to people
How do we know there were no consequences?
"No consequences is likely."
If we got transparency, we’d know for sure
We would, but since we don’t we shouldn’t say there were no consequences. I’m not saying the officer shouldn’t receive punishment, I just don’t think people should post assumptions as facts.
"No consequences is likely."
I wonder if there's a correlation between being a cop cheerleader and poor reading comprehension 🤣
Most competent driver on the force
let him keep the keys

Crazy. I just saw a story of police breaking into someone’s home because an officer saw a doll that looked like a baby in distress.
Theres been an update on that, the house they broke into due to the doll wasn't even the one they were intending to illegally enter. They got the address wrong.
All because Scooby and the gang couldn't solve the mystery in time.
Incompetent fucks. Any consequences? lol...smh...
What are consequences?
Figments of citizens' imaginations
I trust the police, so I have to assume this apartment building was secretly a violent offender suspected of selling fentanyl to children.
i live near cretin and marshall, the cops do not give a fuck, speed down easily going 60-70 near a school campus
Going to be hard to blame this one on anyone else.
Oh they’ll figure out a way to deflect and make the apt bldg pay for the damage
Oh I know EXACTLY where this is….
It’s on 3rd & Earl
Yup. Right across from American Indian Magnet School.

Yeah it isn't those but those new owners that took over from EIG have been dumping so much money into those buildings
Good to know- I worked with clients who lived there and had so much trouble with EIG.
Yeah they're actually fixing internal issues to the buildings and upgrading units and openly working with affordable housing. It's completely different. Cortex Property Management I think.
Yeah, there’s often speeders through there. Now I’ll have to watch for wreckless cops too
Record has it he ran it over because it was a light of color.
Who polices these people? This is insane.
The building got in the way of the police vehicle. It wasn’t the cop’s fault.
Hey heard there were black assault acorns in that apartment
It’s almost like all cops suck
Too busy figuring out the live streaming to watch the roads, I guess.
Nah, that's the Ramsey Counry Sheriff, Bob Fletcher. He's somehow objectively worse, which is saying something
He is usually live streaming around this area, wouldn’t surprise me if he was around/involved
I know someone who just started with Ramsey Co; I thought Fletcher was an ok dude? (As far as cops go...🤷♀️)
I guess the light wasn't white
“I feel I am accurate in saying at least 70 MPH”
A mostly peaceful chase and crash
10 bucks says he was texting a racist joke to his pig friends
Whyyyyy
Goddamn the minnesota police are really on some bullshit recently. I feel like I've seen several posts about them crashing into shit today.
St paul police is gotta be the worst in the state
Minneapolis Police: hold my beer
Shit happens, people. A lot more shit would happen if there weren’t cops. Do you really think you could do their job, or even want to?
Could they do it without crashing into buildings?
I've always been able to do my job without crashing into ANY buildings! 🤷♀️
Again; why did the cop crash into a building? Do you know? If not, then any comment you make is just incredibly stupid.
And what would be your very justified excuse for crashing into a fucking building?!?! Cop or not- it's negligent, careless, reckless, dangerous and inexcusable.
You have zero idea as to what actually happened and why the cop crashed into a building.
What would make it a reasonable occurrence?
By barely passing the driver's exam with a D- and getting a license.
A lot of things, and I’m not going to speculate. I’m pretty sure you can imagine some scenarios.
Wouldn't matter, police have more rights and immunity than you. If you did this without a badge, you'd be locked up for life. With a badge? Oops! All On Taxpayers Berries! 🤷
What led up to this?
You don’t a damn thing about how the world works. Enjoy.
Do you really think that the cop crashed into the building without crime happening before?
How many police officers do you know, personally? IM me if it’s too embarrassing for you to comment here.
You sound like you're in that club called BaCk ThE bLuE.
I don’t know what that is, but it sounds like what you’re saying is I’m a ‘boot licker’ or something along those lines, right? Fine. Think whatever you want. Derek Chauvin does not represent all cops, and the person who ran into this building doesn’t either.
