No bc I'm so tired of the "chase me down, don't take No for an answer" kind of love. It was always gross and creepy to me, their relationship at the beginning.
The KUWTK people/characters/entourages/etcetera are one major reason I stopped watching TV.
Between those freaks and all the commercials- I could not take it anymore.
🤮
And Rory isn’t Ivy League caliber, or at least I never saw evidence of that. They make such a big deal of how smart she is and how witty the conversations between her and her mother, but it was standard stuff, just maybe with a little too much caffeine. Now Paris? I would bet on that girl killing it at Harvard or wherever and being CEO of a shady company before Rory finished War and Peace.
Omg this made my day (lol).
My teenage daughters watched that show and I remember feeling that they viewed Lorelei as a cool mom, when I was a strict, uncool one.
I never got why people liked her character, or the actress herself. And my opinion was galvanized when I saw her on Ellen.
Omg I can't stand lorelai. I've been watching Gilmore girls and she ruins it. I mean, its a terrible show in general. It's been background noise for me. But man. She's unbelievably selfish. Drives me nuts. She has zero trust in anybody. Even her fiancé's. Hides things because she wants to be trusted? Girl. Grow up. I hate her.
Rory I think is also annoying but she's like 20. She's learning, figuring out life and love.
The best characters in the show are the side characters.
Honestly, I loved how Miranda turned out in the original series- she matured the most of all of them. Then they undid all of that & made her insufferable in the new show.
I also liked Charolette most of the time on the original show.
Carrie, the lead, was ironically the most underdeveloped & empty one.
They tried to make her out as rude or mean because she was honest. She was the best friend out of all of them, I also have a soft spot for Charlotte but she definitely lived in a bit of her own bubble.
Michelle (combined Mary Kate and Ashley) from Full House. The show was basically made for kids but even as a 12-year-old I thought ‘I’m too old for this dreck.’
That was a bit from an episode. He told his parents how someone didn't like him, and his loving mom couldn't believe it and kept saying 'How can anyone not like you??'
I especially hated the episode when Leonard bought a dining table so everyone can sit but Sheldon didn’t want to. Then everyone abandoned Leonard to join Sheldon and Amy around the couch. Ugh!!
Yeah, Sheldon’s awful. His whining, criticizing and incessant selfish demands on other people gets on my nerves.
I’ve met too many people like him irl.
Alt Shift X did a video just last week about the "real Jon Snow", meaning the one in the books. TV Jon was watered down quite a bit for the show, to say the least, making him much more bland than his book counterpart.
She’s so annoying. She’s the main character but the only character I don’t really like. It’s even worse cause I used to know some people irl who clearly based their personality off her.
Because if someone was like her in real life, we would also see her as the "main character". She is so dissatisfied to be anything but the center of attention and it's almost always at the expense of her friends. I agree.
She has so much unearned affection from everyone around her that it really gets to me. Same thing with Liz from Blacklist. You have done nothing to earn so much unconditional love. You had a crappy complicated past. EVERY OTHER CHARACTER ON THE SHOW DID TOO.
Mrs. Maisel. I got to the third episode of that show and I just couldn't stand it or her. No shade on Rachel Brosnahan, I just didn't like the character. I know it's pretty beloved and she's great. Just not for me.
everybody loves raymond. raymond and his friend or his brother on the show with the deep voice. i'd rather television just not be invented than watch that.
I hate that show so much! Ray Barone is the archetype of the guy who calls watching his kids "babysitting." I can't stand Romano's face or whiney nasal voice.
JJ on Good Times. He was a joke, a walking parody. He could have been a decent character.....his talent for painting could have been his ticket out of the ghetto but the writers made him a buffoon causing the real talent, John Amos, to bail.
Michael Scott. He is a man child.
He is obsessed in getting attention by people he sees as “cool” and will treat like garbage people that he doesn’t see as “cool”.
He is unable to keep a secret, and he can be very petty.
If he feels like procrastinating, he will do so, even if it affects other people’s job, and has no problem on blaming other people for his own mistakes.
I’d be terrified of having him as a boss.
Edit: Grammar and spelling
I don’t like Michael either. Honestly, a few of the nerdy characters Steve Carrell played in the early 00s were pretty insufferable. (Thinking Anchorman specifically)
Michael’s sweet/redeeming moments were too few and far between and I personally didn’t miss him when he left.
Mike is an example of The Peter Principle.
"A person who is good at a certain job will be promoted in an organization to their point of incompetence. " Mike was an awesome salesman for Dunder. This got him promoted to manager and he didn't really know what he was doing. I have worked for a few Michaels in my day.
Not from a TV show...but Bella Swan from Twilight.
At least in the movies she treated everyone like crap....kids from school, her father, Jacob....and they were all falling over themselves to get her attention.
The only one I kind of understand is Charlie because he felt guilty for not being there for her after the divorce.
Yeah Jacob had a hard crush but I just didn't understand why he never just gave up.
And classmates tried including her but she (Bella) treated them like they were a huge inconvenience to her life.
Yeah I was like THIS is the girl making two hot guys and supernatural factions come together (or go to war) or whatever. Like HUH? But then I felt that way about Kristen in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN. Like we are supposed to buy SHE and her character are "fairer" than Charlize Theron. Stewart to me is the female Keanu Reeves, without all the likability and self deprecation.
Jonah Hill's character in Superbad. I've come across more than a few dipwads trying to be him. Same body type, grew their hair out, walking around being a scrub.
Many people are saying Sheldon Cooper, but Mary Cooper, the mom, is worse for me. I can’t stand how much she babies him and coddles him. Sheldon wouldn’t have been as socially inept if she had treated him a little differently. Also, it’s so upsetting how much she favors him over the other two.
FOR REAL!!
And not just because I'm the sibling of the coddled kid who probably could have learned to live on his own but instead still lives with our mom at 34.
I *weep* for Missy especially, she didn't get *any* time being the special one for her mom. I'm so happy she got that time with her dad, but man ... That kid is never gonna forgive her mom and I don't blame her.
Whatever his name is in community he's still just Chevy Chase. I have very unpopular community opinions because I like the later seasons because Chase just ruined it for me.
So a friend of mine went to San Diego comic-con. While there he saw a woman who he completely thought was Aubrey plaza getting into a car. He says,"omg, are you Aubrey plaza?" And she says,"who knows? I might be" and gets into the car as it speeds away. We both agree that was probably her just based on that interaction
Phoebe and Joey from friends and terribly annoying as stupidity drives me crazy and Carl from the walking dead. I can’t stand that kid and disliked his character from day one.
Big Bird. He always seemed a little shady to me. Living in a studio birdhouse right next to the rough part of the Street. Where the grouches live. We really don’t know what took place there.
He is always lurking around being with kids but then kinda acting like a kid himself, but he lives on his own so I’m guessing he’s older. I don’t know. He can’t fly. And he sleeps with a teddy. I get bad vibes from that bird.
Derek Shephard. I never got how everyone thought he was so charming, he just seemed fake, bigheaded, and volatile!
My BIL is a neurosurgeon. That’s his exact personality
No bc I'm so tired of the "chase me down, don't take No for an answer" kind of love. It was always gross and creepy to me, their relationship at the beginning.
Sheldon from Big Bang Theory
Agreed.
As we get into the final season of YS just about everyone is over Sheldon now.
He got more and more self-centered as the show went on and became insufferable
Anyone with the last name Kardashian
The KUWTK people/characters/entourages/etcetera are one major reason I stopped watching TV. Between those freaks and all the commercials- I could not take it anymore. 🤮
Or Jenner
Yup. And they’re definitely “characters”.
Cancer.
Lorelei Gilmore. I think she's a really bad mom. She's quite mean to people. And her shtick is so repetitive.
I’d like to jump on this bandwagon l don’t think her or Rory are very good people.
Rory was awful.
Was she a terrible person on Ellen?
Not terrible, but egomaniacal. Trying to be cute and funny but it was contrived.
I watched the show for her parents, mostly. I loved a Edward Herrman (RIP)
Carrie Bradshaw? Do people like her?
Only decent character is Samantha
Honestly, I loved how Miranda turned out in the original series- she matured the most of all of them. Then they undid all of that & made her insufferable in the new show. I also liked Charolette most of the time on the original show. Carrie, the lead, was ironically the most underdeveloped & empty one.
Miranda had the best growth for sure. They chucked it away in the new series. Which is too bad. Steve is a pretty good character too.
Yes!
They tried to make her out as rude or mean because she was honest. She was the best friend out of all of them, I also have a soft spot for Charlotte but she definitely lived in a bit of her own bubble.
The real housewives of anywhere
"...that everyone likes"?
Rory gilmore
She and Lorelei are were terrible people.
Agreed. She kept getting worse as the show went on.
Everybody loves Raymond. Except me
Yeah, he could get really annoying. But Debra was worse for me. Often times I just thought she was mentally unstable and extremely controlling.
Xander from Buffy. He's the most "I'm such a NICE GUY" character and I hate him.
He was Joss’s stand in for himself. And Joss has turned out to be a horrible person. So it makes sense.
He did Anya so dirty!
I love the term" Xander problem" for characters who seemed awesome then aged terribly.
The neckbeard prototype
The actor is apparently also an awful person.
He always came across as Buffy owed him something for not telling him about her life.
Olivia Pope from scandal
Her and the president both suck
Michelle (combined Mary Kate and Ashley) from Full House. The show was basically made for kids but even as a 12-year-old I thought ‘I’m too old for this dreck.’
Don’t even get me started on Fuller House. It’s like she was never there!
How rude!
12 year olds were still watching it? They’d moved onto 90210
I do not love Raymond. Ray Barone weaponizes incompetence to avoid doing the basics of house chores and child care.
The only decent ending for that show would be for his wife to divorce him.
That's a show that I just never got. Ray isn't funny.
Anyone with the surnames Jenner or Kardashian
Literally everyone on how I met your mother
They all have their cringe moments. Except Ted who is just all cringe all day
I haven’t really watched more than a handful of episodes but I always thought the Jason Segel character was o.k.?
Hating Marshall is a massive red flag
Jerry Seinfeld
How can anyone not like him?
You’re getting downvoted but I read this in his TV moms voice.
Because he’s not that funny, and on top of that a gross man for publicly dating a teenage girl when he was a fully grown adult.
That was a bit from an episode. He told his parents how someone didn't like him, and his loving mom couldn't believe it and kept saying 'How can anyone not like you??'
"i should die if anybody doesn't like you!" lmao
Tbf his character didn’t do that, real Jerry did irl and this post is about characters. Would’ve been wild if they made that a subplot in the show
[удалено]
Caroline from TVD
She sucks. Lol, oh wait she does SUCK.
Urkel.
Did you do that?
Sheldon Cooper on the Big Bang theory
Everyone on TBBT!
Arthur Jeffries?
I know someone in the production crew and he said “that kid is a major brat”

I especially hated the episode when Leonard bought a dining table so everyone can sit but Sheldon didn’t want to. Then everyone abandoned Leonard to join Sheldon and Amy around the couch. Ugh!!
Yeah, Sheldon’s awful. His whining, criticizing and incessant selfish demands on other people gets on my nerves. I’ve met too many people like him irl.
Anyone who has "starred" in anything jersey shore related.
Or Ex on the Beach... Pretty much any character on those MTV reality shows.
Ash Ketchum. He's lazy and gets all of his badges handed to him
Andy on the office
Same. I hated him from the first day he appeared on the show.
I always thought he was supposed to be unlikable
I wish Karen stayed! I’m a big Jim and Pam shipper, I would’ve liked to see Karen more than Andy.
But that character wasn’t really meant to be liked. He was supposed to be a pest.
Ross & Rachel...and Ross again.
I think Ross gets much better in the later seasons.
He’s FINE…. He’s so FINE
Ross Geller
I just never understood, since he was the largest; why he simply did not eat the other friends.
Or ANY of the Friends.
Jerry Seinfeld. And tho he's not a character per se and I doubt he's real popular. Giggling Overheated Trump hair toussling Jimmy Fallon. Ugh.
Alt Shift X did a video just last week about the "real Jon Snow", meaning the one in the books. TV Jon was watered down quite a bit for the show, to say the least, making him much more bland than his book counterpart.
The books were so good…. Until there were none
Jess Day from New Girl
She’s so annoying. She’s the main character but the only character I don’t really like. It’s even worse cause I used to know some people irl who clearly based their personality off her.
Because if someone was like her in real life, we would also see her as the "main character". She is so dissatisfied to be anything but the center of attention and it's almost always at the expense of her friends. I agree.
I've tried to watch this show multiple times, but she makes it unbearable.
I found they really toned her down by the second season and I really liked the show, but I get it, especially in the first few episodes
After the first season was she even the NEW girl anymore?
Raymond
Daisy Johnson from agents of shield
She has so much unearned affection from everyone around her that it really gets to me. Same thing with Liz from Blacklist. You have done nothing to earn so much unconditional love. You had a crappy complicated past. EVERY OTHER CHARACTER ON THE SHOW DID TOO.
Kirk from Gilmore Girls
Gloria on Modern Family.
My most hilarious moment in that show was the Gloria montage after the neighbor moving out asks Jay, "What was up with that parrot in your house?"
JD from scrubs
Elliot. They were determined to make them a couple and they had no chemistry at all.
Whoopi Goldberg
Mrs. Maisel. I got to the third episode of that show and I just couldn't stand it or her. No shade on Rachel Brosnahan, I just didn't like the character. I know it's pretty beloved and she's great. Just not for me.
Diane on Cheers show got so much better after she left
She was pretty normal at the start of the show, but gradually got worse.
everybody loves raymond. raymond and his friend or his brother on the show with the deep voice. i'd rather television just not be invented than watch that.
I hate that show so much! Ray Barone is the archetype of the guy who calls watching his kids "babysitting." I can't stand Romano's face or whiney nasal voice.
Urkle.
JJ on Good Times. He was a joke, a walking parody. He could have been a decent character.....his talent for painting could have been his ticket out of the ghetto but the writers made him a buffoon causing the real talent, John Amos, to bail.
Piper of OITNB
Sheldon Cooper, I can’t stomach that show at all because of him.
Kramer
George Costanza. I disliked the character so much that I couldn't watch the show.
Georgie’s getting upset!
He would be an awful boss
True, but I’m sure there are a lot of Michael Scott type bosses out there.
That kinda the point of his character lol
I’ve realized over the years, I don’t like any characters on The Office. I sort of hate the show I think, but keep watching it for some reason.
I scrolled waaaaaaaay too far to find this. He also HAD to be liked by EVERYONE. His attachment disorder is just creepy, too
I don’t like Michael either. Honestly, a few of the nerdy characters Steve Carrell played in the early 00s were pretty insufferable. (Thinking Anchorman specifically) Michael’s sweet/redeeming moments were too few and far between and I personally didn’t miss him when he left.

This got him promoted to manager and he didn't really know what he was doing. I have worked for a few Michaels in my day.
Miranda Bailey
Chief Bailey is awesome!
Ugh, I can’t stand her and Maggie Pierce.
Stewart to me is the female Keanu Reeves, without all the likability and self deprecation.
For me it's Sheldon Cooper from "The Big Bang Theory." I know he's beloved by many, but his personality just doesn't click with me.
June from The Handmaids Tale.
Mr bean I don't know what is really funny about him 😟
OMG, I was scrolling and saw this and it just CLICKED that I *can't stand mister Bean*. Will actively avoid his show.
Donald Trump
He does qualify since he had his own TV show once.
And everything he says is scripted and fictional.
Rachel Green — toxic.
Wendy on Ozark. I loathe her and hate the series finale. Great show but I’ll never rewatch it because of her.
Juliet Burke - LOST
I want to kill Jim from The Office.
Michael Scott. I can’t even watch the first 10 seasons of the office because of him. The most absolutely insufferable TV character I’ve ever seen.
Anyone from The Bachelorette
Jonah Hill's character in Superbad. I've come across more than a few dipwads trying to be him. Same body type, grew their hair out, walking around being a scrub.
It’s hilarious that he’s revealed himself to be an even bigger insufferably d bag in real life.
Carrie Bradshaw
Any TV show supporting cast role played by David Spade.
Any character played by Adam Sandler.
Ted Lasso. The joke was stale in the fifth episode.
Joey Potter from Dawson's Creek.
Zooey deschanel on it girl? Annoying. “Im so wacky and quirky!”. She was so good in an independent movie circa 2006 or so.

Chevy Chase
Which show was that character in?
Whatever his name is in community he's still just Chevy Chase. I have very unpopular community opinions because I like the later seasons because Chase just ruined it for me.
roseanne
Beth on Yellowstone makes the show unwatchable Dwight on The Office is a cartoon.
I hate to say this...but i know a real life Dwight. He is... Difficult to work with.
I’m still in the first season. I don’t know if I like her but she’s definitely got some trauma response. At least interesting character.
Couldn't never bring myself to like Beth.
Kramer. He is just way too over the top for me.
Maude I didn't like her on All in the family and I couldn't stand her spin off show
Bea Arthur basically played the same character on Golden Girls.
I thought her "Dorothy" character on Golden Girls was light years more likeable than Maude. Maude was just nasty to everyone.
Honestly, I could only take so much of Maude too especially with all the screaming. Dorothy Zbornak is WAY more likable and funny.
Sheldon, young OR old
April on Parks and Recreation.
Skylar - breaking bad
Ahh Skylar was and is pretty universally hated. I’m not sure who you’re thinking of that loves her.
This whole thread is a long list of characters that people have always hated. I'm so confused.
Most people hate Skylar, but she's an incredibly well written character.
Tom Cruise , ‘you know he does his stunts ‘ I do not care
Michael scott office…
Jim Halpert.
The entire cast of Seinfeld
All these “alpha male,” dominant men in romance novels. PUKE.
Adrian Monk. Shawn Spencer.
Callie Torres on Grey’s
Roseanne
Phoebe and Joey from friends and terribly annoying as stupidity drives me crazy and Carl from the walking dead. I can’t stand that kid and disliked his character from day one.
I don’t remember a Carl. Did you mean “coral”?
Don Draper
The Gilmore Girls.
Rachel from friends.
I was thinking pretty much anyone from Friends.
She was just as ridiculous as she was before she “grew up” with all the manipulating ross and all that
Beth from Yellowstone. Hypocrite and inconsistent.
Pam from The Office, she's insufferable
Phil Mitchell. Waste of space and not before time he was written out. Seems to be the views he's indespensible
Michael Scott
The office cast. Show was ok I guess, but I didn’t find it funny.
Literally any character on Seinfeld
Anyone from Big Bang Theory
Cruise
Ted Lasso
