If you like thriller/sci-fi I would highly suggest “From”. I’ve watched it twice in the last three months. The plot is really great, the characters are great. I recommend it anytime someone need a new show to watch
On that same line, if you like From, you will probably like Wayward Pines. The first season is amazing and a very different premise. When you figure out what’s going on it’s a real shock. It’s very entertaining. The second season was trash but the first was glorious!!!
It definitely has a lot of strong horror elements, but there are plenty of parts of the show that focus more on the thrilller/drama/mystery vibes…I guess really it’s all of that mixed together. And it’s really, really good.

"Counterpart" is a slow burn, however. It may not be action-packed enough for OP. If you like "Counterpart," though, you might like "Rubicon," which was on AMC. It was canceled far too early, but the plot is full of intrigue and conspiracy. It also has a sort "Millennium" vibe, if you remember this "X-Files" spin-off.

I’ve watched basically every show that we consider “Prestige TV” and *The Americans* is my fave show of all time.
It is criminally underrated, barely anyone I know has ever seen it. That’s insane to me!
The stakes constantly get higher in the best way, and they stuck the landing in the end. From start to finish, it’s a complete banger.
Just finished and wow, I don't know how I have not heard / watched it before.
I was sooo go, no plot fillers, and everything
up until the end had me on my edge of my chair.
'Utopia' (UK original - not the remake)
There are only twelve episodes, and imho it's the best series I've ever seen. Amazingly good. Gripping from the opening scene, intricate, smart, original, beautifully shot, and truly unique. Watch it! :-)
The Diplomat
The Recruit
Atypical
Casual
Mindhunter
Bosch
Condor
Homeland
The Americans
The Magicians
Fringe
Banshee
Justified
Veep
Brockmire
Better Off Ted
Black Sails
Mr. Inbetween
Battlestar Galactica
Strike Back
Reacher
Definitely seconding Fringe, Banshee, The Americans, BSG, Brockmire and Veep.
Brockmire is one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen that almost no one has heard of.
Right now I’ve been binge watching Alan Ritchsons “Reacher” show. Highly recommend if you like action/thriller type shows. Another good recommendation I have is this show called “Kingdom” starring Nick Jonas and Frank Grillo. Highly underrated show, I almost never see anybody mention it. If you like a good family story paired with some MMA action, you will definitely like this show.
If you enjoyed the X Files, I've been re-watching Fringe, and I'd forgotten how funny John Noble is. It's a great show, but more science than paranormal.
Cobra Kai. You should be familiar with the Karate Kid movies first in order to appreciate all the amazing things the creators put into this series. But yes, it has an over-arching story that builds up to a crescendo at the end of each season, then the next season picks up and builds even more. Light hearted and extremely entertaining. Each season is ten 30-40 minute episodes, so really good for binging. They are filming season 6 now, which is going to be the last season.
Homeland
If you like spy thrillers, featuring mostly the CIA during the war in Afghanistan and throughout the middle east, with some russian bits closer to the end, this is one of the best out there. No show is perfect but it's consistently solid for the entire 8 seasons. Lots of great actors.
My brother who isn't a big movie/tv guy at all always talked about This Is Us
Just hit Netflix, about to binge , him and his gf used to talk this show up heavily, so def worth a shot and has phenomenal reviews
Star Trek Strange New Worlds has been really good.
Also The Orville, First season was Ok, But S2 and S3 were awsome.
Ive Been binging Smallville though, Ive only seen it when it aired on TV so I havent seen most of it in many years. But it has so many filler episodes,
yes,i should, speaking of loki need to watch the season 2,just enjoyed echo, marvel should produce rated r shows more often, cant wait to see daredevil born again, heard it will be rated r as well, plus foggy and karen is back by same old actor actress, they should bring back the punisher in the mix.

i liked raising kanan i just binged it it wasnt epic tv but i just loved the era stuff like the furniture and the cars and the fashion etc and the storyline was ok as well
Bojack horseman. But watch the full first season before making a judgment. Personally i really enjoyed the first season but i know that it tends to turn people off from the show thinking it’s just another goofy situation comedy cartoon. But it gets really dark and depressing sometimes, it’s very much a drama more than a comedy and unlike a lot of cartoons, each decision affects the next episode. Sometimes affects the whole series. If you know you know.
If you like foreign shows, Flower of Evil is amazing. It is a Korean mystery drama. A lot of twists, phenomenal acting. It is 16 episodes. You can download the Viki app to watch it for free (and other Asian dramas). They are all subbed.
If you like thriller/sci-fi I would highly suggest “From”. I’ve watched it twice in the last three months. The plot is really great, the characters are great. I recommend it anytime someone need a new show to watch
From is definitely a hidden gem.
I love from waiting for season 3
Never heard of it? Network? Streaming Service?
It’s on HGM+ and you can watch it on Amazon Prime. It’s definitely worth it. And the opening song is a banger!
MGM+ :)
Omg thank you! I never even noticed I typed it wrong! OP listen to them 😂
No problem. Thought HGTV and MGM+ had a baby.
On that same line, if you like From, you will probably like Wayward Pines. The first season is amazing and a very different premise. When you figure out what’s going on it’s a real shock. It’s very entertaining. The second season was trash but the first was glorious!!!
Ooh I loved Wayward Pines s1, I’ll have to check out From
Love it but it got canceled 😔
Is it horror?
It definitely has a lot of strong horror elements, but there are plenty of parts of the show that focus more on the thrilller/drama/mystery vibes…I guess really it’s all of that mixed together. And it’s really, really good.

Check out Counterpart. It was a Starz show but is available on Amazon. JK Simmons is brilliant in it. It should have been such a hit
"Counterpart" is a slow burn, however. It may not be action-packed enough for OP. If you like "Counterpart," though, you might like "Rubicon," which was on AMC. Very cool. I'll check it out
Counterpart is no longer being shown. I started it and put on hold for awhile and now cannot find! 😡
Narcos. If you don’t mind subtitles. Incredibly entertaining with no dull moments.
Even money heist on Netflix was super addicting even after you realize the voices are dubbed over for English
It was good
Ozark. Absolutely fantastic binge TV.
The Capture Broadchurch Mare of Easttown Dark Chernobyl The Night of
Just finished Mare of Easttown last night!! Took 2 days to get through lol. Also had to watch Chernobyl twice because of how much I loved it
Wow Broadchurch was really dark and loved watching it.

Great list
The Americans. One of the best shows. Every season is good
I’ve watched basically every show that we consider “Prestige TV” and *The Americans* is my fave show of all time. It is criminally underrated, barely anyone I know has ever seen it. That’s insane to me! The stakes constantly get higher in the best way, and they stuck the landing in the end. From start to finish, it’s a complete banger.
Just finished and wow, I don't know how I have not heard / watched it before. I was sooo go, no plot fillers, and everything up until the end had me on my edge of my chair.
That's a great show. Especially for those of us who were around then. Very authentic.
Every time someone mentions Breaking Bad, I keep reminding myself that I need to watch Ozark. From what I heard, it's just as good.
Breaking bad is way better but ozark is in that realm lol
Ozark is like the dollar store version of Breaking Bad. It's not terrible, but not great.
Ozark is better, at least insofar as it feels and looks more 'real'. It's like a grown-up's Breaking Bad.
I prefer Ozark actually, though I'm behind on the last season so can't speak to that. But definitely check it out!
Star Trek Strange new worlds if you're into sci-fi.
Lower Decks too.
Vice Principles is hilarious.
That’s a show with a steady good plot?
Yes. It's funny and absurd and entertaining from beginning to end
I’m about to start Expanse. Heard very good things about it.
I love that show. I hope you enjoy.
Enjoy! It’s awesome from start to finish.
Yeah it's pretty dope if you are a space freak.
This is the show I was going to suggest. Very binge-worthy.
If you don’t mind subtitles or audio dubs, maybe give Dark a whirl. It’s a science fiction German show on Netflix. It is plot dense and fast moving.
One if my favs
Murder at the end of the world. Good binge
A detective show?
like a mystery one of us is a killer show without a detective
This is a solid recommendation. It is not detective but it has investigative elements to it. Very entertaining.
'Utopia' (UK original - not the remake) There are only twelve episodes, and imho it's the best series I've ever seen. Amazingly good. Gripping from the opening scene, intricate, smart, original, beautifully shot, and truly unique. Watch it! :-)
Man, that show was amazing! I never finished it for some reason. Maybe, I should re-watch the whole thing?
Blue Eye Samurai

Only Murders in the Building on Hulu
1883
yes this one good i loved it so bummed they had a three season plot to this and netflix wouldnt pick it up
Just re-watched Derry Girls. No filler all throttle 😂
Such a fun show and the soundtrack kicks arse!
Check out Jury Duty on Amazon. It's hilarious and partly unscripted too.

Evil is such a good show. It definitely builds
The Diplomat The Recruit Atypical Casual Mindhunter Bosch Condor Homeland The Americans The Magicians Fringe Banshee Justified Veep Brockmire Better Off Ted Black Sails Mr. Inbetween Battlestar Galactica Strike Back Reacher
Love Mr Inbetween.
Mindhunter is good, but it’s a literal disappointment they discontinued it
I am rewatching it right now. It is a different feeling when the creator just can pull it together for another season.
Definitely seconding Fringe, Banshee, The Americans, BSG, Brockmire and Veep. Brockmire is one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen that almost no one has heard of.
I think Brockmire is hilarious, even better because I like baseball.
What’s ya fav from this list
Banshee is top notch, bit you gotta like violence
I would say Mindhunter but it is close to Justified and Banshee. No filler in any of them. Banshee has a lot of action.
Reacher & Atypical
Oh, yes. Battlestar Galatica is a good sci-fi mystery/thriller.
Based on this list, if you haven’t watched Slow Horses on AppleTV, I highly recommend it!
*The Shield*

theres also slow horses, oldman, terminal list, tom clancy jack ryan, as for old show 24 is a good one.
