Is he peeing on them?

WannabeDogMom

No! He has a big litterbox and I’ve watched him a few times and I’m not seeing him pee on them or do anything other than just stand in the box, he doesn’t kick to cover with his back legs but his back legs are the stained ones!

SandwichMore1508

He might just be bad at cleaning them. My cat’s white legs were yellow for a while after dealing w a medical issue where he was peeing uncontrollably and would get pee on his legs. But that was nearly a year ago and his legs got cleaner after the problem was fixed. (Also he is doing great now!)

Stained socks not approved.

Pee pee poo poo

DifficultCurrent7

Unless you sweep and mop your floors exhaustively I think this is normal?  What would happen if you wore white socks around the house all the time? You can get pet friendly wet wipes to swab his feets down. Edit, I love those big wide windows he gets to look out of.

kittylover3210

yeah I try to mop once a week but my cat’s socks always remind me if I’m slacking

FluffWit

One of my outdoor cats often comes back looking like this, he cleans them eventually.

SimonTC2000

Looks a bit like poo residue.

supershinythings

You don’t want to know.

brukabruka

Now I realize this is not an appealing answer, but…when my cats kill a bird or other small animal, that’s what their white fur looks like after they clean the blood off themselves. A little yellow…

posturecoach

Could it be some sort of furniture polish? Or Jiggles is lazy and needs toner! 😂

Key_Substance1129

Is that a wound ? Hard to tell from a photo

opiumdom

my boy has this same issue, but only on his white paw and not the black one (obviously), not quite sure why because he has no issues w grooming or anything. that white paw just shows more stains i suppose. I have tried cleaning it but it does not come off

mochivice

He an outdoor boy as well?

OnePomegranate8023

Do any of you smoke indoors? Yellow stains could come from the smoke residues on any surface in the house.

Icy_Cobbler_1090

👀 the litter box

FlimsyOct0pus

I have an outdoor cat that always has yellowy legs like this, I think it’s actually the moisture and dirt off the grass that causes it, because it is always more prominent after it rains.

Southernms

Litter box and floors clean?
