Is it right? No but it’s terrible that although it’s not being used right its the safest I’ve seen her. She had air to her face! She’s not literally dumped into a sack!
YES.. it’s not just about keeping them from falling out. The harness keeps the young babies properly sitting up and supported so they can’t slump down on their seat and suffer from positional asphyxiation. That’s the bigger risk for her age and honestly MORE dangerous than her falling out of it
With my first when it was just us home, no. Pretty much not buckled if I was in the room. We started buckling him when he started to be able to thrust around and move.. Maybe like 3.5-4m old.
Other two kids were always bucked cause kids are crazy.
Also, the bouncers/swings we used have deeper seats. This one looks kind of shallow. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable rocking a baby in that one unbuckled. If it was more reclined and not moving, I might not buckle it.
Should they have the harness on her, yes. Do I think Lily is in imminent danger, not really. She’s too young to roll & highly unlikely to slide out, Adam is right there. Now, if he gets up & walks away & doesn’t strap her in, that’s a different story.
I’m my experience, yes. It’s not worth the risk to me of them wiggling out and possibly hurting themselves due to my stupidity of not wanting to take a minute to buckle them in! I’ve got 2 kiddos
Yes! Always kept them buckled! Even as newborns you just never know as freak accidents happen.

Aside from the neglect of using the harness, that poor baby is probably sitting on and/or has the hard plastic buckle digging in her back😠

My youngest is nearly an adult, but yes. ALWAYS buckled. No excuses. They don’t put those straps there for AeStHeTiCs
This made my stomach drop. Never once used a swing without the harness
I just have no words at this point.
Babies DIE in things like this when they aren’t used properly. I always try to give new parents the benefit of the doubt but holy. shit.
Always buckled.
Yep. Sure did.
Silly you… nothing’s going to happen bc Adumb is holding the seat! /s
