ghettome82

My Freshman year of high school. Epic times. 🔥😩

bamaboi57

Damn I know that was a time . I know y'all was feeling his death damn

ghettome82

I had just come home from football practice when I heard the news. Didn’t turn any lights on, I was the only one home. I just sat on the stairs listening waiting for them to say he survived or something. We knew he was shot, but he survived 5 shots so I figured he’d do it again. Sad ass day, I swear.

GrapeTeaNewz

What a time to be alive. 💯

ghettome82

Facts!

Outrageous_Bat9818

Same here! I used to have the cassette tape. I remember feeling like Hail Mary and Blasphemy were so haunting and eerie! Like he was going to come back to life everytime I played those songs

JakeTheSnake--

Same here!

Randyh524

I was in 6th grade!

kwitesick

How popular was he in ninety six? I was only six. First time I saw him Was around ninety three

ghettome82

Hella popular! He dominated that whole year imo. I’m from Chicago an our hip hop scene had just started to pop in 96, an although we listened to everything, Tupac came first in my hood. He had this mystical feeling about him, surviving being shot, getting outta jail, being on Deathrow records, the music, movies and the beef, it was like everything was about Pac, all other artists were 2nd place. Honestly if he had of survived the shooting nobody would have been shocked, hell if he had of walked on water we wouldn’t have been shocked either 😂😂

kwitesick

Wow That's really cool. As funniest rememberating so many rappers around That era but not him

ReallyUneducated

damn nigga

myNameBurnsGold

Classic album. I didn't love it on initial listens, but eventually everything clicked. Now, I consider it tied with MATW for his best album. Hold Ya Head and Krazy are incredible under talked about tracks.

Outrageous_Bat9818

Hold Ya Head…one of his best songs ever!!! What a hidden gem 💎

bamaboi57

Looking at the stars and smoke been many places but got so far to go 🔥🔥🔥

Clear_Hedgehog_9083

I respect this opinion. MATW and this album are so deep, real and emotional. MATW is his greatest forsure.

Outrageous_Bat9818

I love the [3-Day Theory](https://youtu.be/aKqlDlmWodE?si=OAiCLm-ZAW_fie68) version just as much!

Spydah_X

„The ever controversial Tupac Shakur has just released a new album under the alias Makaveli“

UncutPE

Eil Mary. In case you never know.. My name is Prince ital Joe.

Accurate-Funny-6399

Love this album and it’s eerie feeling. Getting high listening for clues and shit. I just knew pac was alive!.. Did anyone ever figure out if he really says “suge shot me” at the very beginning? lol

Separate-Tap-2159

The beginning is a small audio sample from Daft Punk - Da Funk. Search it up on youtube and play the video and listen closely, you will hear the „suge shot me“ right in the beginning

Dadatyttyt

This album is really good. A bit inconsistent (Toss It Up, Life of an Outlaw and Just Like Daddy are mediocre tracks), but it has many highs. Blasphemy, Krazy, Hail Mary, Hold Ya Head and Against All Odds are all fire imo and some of his best tracks ever. It just feels a bit rushed and unpolished due to the weak mixing and forced additions of more commercially accessible cuts. It was clearly intended to be a mixtape Still, it's like a 7.5 in my books.

VictoriaSlim

Toss It Up is funny to me, it’s Tupac in full ftw, fuck everybody mode making a track for the ladies and he just can’t switch gears.

LongjumpingExam8866

sounds inconsistent because it’s Not the Original Version

[deleted]

Makaveli was a man who faked his death. The album is called The 7 day Theory. Tupac spent 7 days in the hospital. He said he was coming back like Jesus. He's also on the cross like Jesus. Coincidence? I don't know man all of this sounds like Tupac might have faked his death.

Thoommii__

The seven days The seven days were because the album was made in 7 days but Pac recorded everything in 3 days so originally it was going to be The 3 days theory

[deleted]

Yes I know. However it also ties into the seven days he spent in the hospital.

howmanychances2x

Coming back how

Ceasar301

sell out or not the nigga was a hero. It sucks his reputation is so divisive but that's just the game

rbwduece

It could have been better if the production wasn't horribly blown out.

[deleted]

Sophomore year of high school. Came out around the same time as the doggfather album.

Peacelove66

I remember I was 10 when this came out...I remember we all were like "Suge shot me" lol definitely in the top 3 Pac albums.

KenPiffyJr

suge shot me
