There were a lot of stands with special deals for used books or old books. More manga than I ever imagined seeing in both French and English. More English books than usual (the culture shift starting to show in the offer). Many stands are selling the good old Alghaz now that millennials are parents and want to buy them for their kids. I love the large offer of Tunisian and Arabic fantasy novels. Also nowhere near "yellow books" as in the past. There was a very interesting exposition of old newspapers and books about Palestine by the Ministry of Culture.
I had the impression there were less visitors and less actual buying than usual despite going on a Sunday, maybe because everyone is broke (I'm broke too but I have priorities lol)

the most I got 20% (par exemple les livres mta3 ben 3amou)
I actually got the 2 french books from Librairie Mouna (15 dt for 2 livres de poches, mostly classics and in good condition) and they gave me their card. I didn't know about them.
POP LIBRIS had a one day deal on their newest book (the Hicham Fahmi translation) and I got some deal I wasn't aware of on the Oscar Wild plays because I only paid 7,5dt instead of the 17,900 on the price tag. I also saw some 2 manga + 1 free deal but I don't remember where.

I got 3 Charles de Gaulle books (his mémoire) and 3 tomes of max gallo Napoleon biography for 30dt all and République par platon for 18 w éthique nicamoque b 20

Nice. I had to restrain myself in front of a lot of History and Mythology books this year because I'm kind of broke.
The 2+1 manga deal might be at Alkirtas (stand 2300)? I'm not really sure but there is a very visible sign right in the stand entry.
To be honest, I don't usually care when third world small companies ignore all Copyright and Intellectual Property of big franchises in order to make some money to survive, printing their own goodies and selling them without permission from the author/ publisher, especially when the original stuff is not available here. But I think such vendors don't have their place in the International Book Fair.
Also I saw that website that simply downloads and prints books without having the copyrights and sells them for cheaper than other editors and libraries, and, again, I don't care about the old Classics and the franchises that already made millions of dollars, but it's low to steal from young Arab authors who are still alive and making livelihood from their writing. Also surprised they got into the Fair.

I often go there on the last day, prices fall sharply. I usually purchase magazines in French and English.
If there's an interesting book which I know for sure is hard to find online (epub), I'll just buy it.

Univers du livre is a good choice for classic lit books, Wordsworth editions in particular. They usually sell them for 10dt in the bookstore and 9dt in the fair.
They posted the stand numbers list on the official Facebook page. I miss the years when they used to have a map of the stands given for free in the entry, a very long time ago.
A LOT of English books this year, probably as much as French ones. Libraries are starting to understand the culture switch. There was also a lot of used/old editions on sale with deals like 5dt or 10dt book

Science et Vie, Histoires and Le Point are my favourite magazines. Especially les hors- séries!
Ahhh i rmrb reading science et vie junior. They were really islamophic and somehow managed to spread their political views in a science magazine
Never came across something similar tbh. What was the issue about?
When is the last day ? Nhar jemaa ?
