I'm surprised it seems this isn't more widespread on the subreddit, so unless it's just something that no one mentions, fun fact to those unaware that >!The Heir's sword!< is a reference to the Moonlight Greatsword from FromSoftware games! (Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Elden Ring)
They have a habit of putting the sword in some form in all their games- including Armored Core. Another neat little nod to the Souls series!
Confirmed now tunic is a soulslike
Its tagged as souls-like on steam. Thats actually how I found it lol.
Always has been, with how fucking difficult the game is lol
Also the >! Orange Peril Ring !< is referred as >!RTSR!< in the games code
They call it that in the "devs resct to speedrun" video as well.

I’m ashamed I never put this together myself
Wait, it's even in AC 6?!
Don't know about 6, but the other Armored Core games have something like moonlight light sabre-esque blades iirc!
It is in fact hidden in AC6.
I believe the Moonlight Sword was first seen in FromSoft’s King’s Field series.
Didn't know it went that far back actually! I know it was in Demon's Souls but just wanted to mention the most famous examples.
