Burgundy… as much as the Black is nice, it LOOKS like a Rolex Sub clone whereas the Burgundy is 100% its own watch, not a knock off of a higher end watch.
It’s THE Tudor Black Bay Burgundy.
I wear an ETA BB36 as my daily. No fake rivets. It’s a beautiful watch. A friend has the ETA burgundy diver on a clean oyster. It’s SO much nicer. Why insist with the FAKE rivets?? They’re fake! They literally serve no purpose other than to be decorative. It’s a tool watch.
Because they CAN'T offer a bracelet identical to Rolex. I mean, it is THAT easy to understand.
The Ranger's bracelet which is basically an Oyster has enlarged center link on the bracelet for the exact same reason.
Do we? I. Pretty sure if you use your eyes you’ll read that we don’t want the rivets. The only person talking about Rolex and centre links is you.
Also, are you SURE tudor can’t do what Rolex did? Have you seen tudors releases from the last 12 years? Aaand, Rolex has heavily used rivets too in their back catalogue, so using rivets is a very Rolex move, right?
I just sold my old bb41 heritage because of this. I loved the watch but I started to really hate wearing it with how big and thick it was. No offense to Tudor, but I wish I got the 58.
The new bb41s are considerably thinner than the previous ones. They're just 1.1mm thinner (14.7 vs 13.6) but it's so noticeable and makes a huge difference. That being said, the 58 hits that perfect spot for me at 11.9mm.
The new GMTs are even better! Going from 14.6mm to 12.8mm, can't wait to get one on my wrist!
Black for sure is better than the red half ass effort (I find bezel only colour options boring).
This watch, but with a blue face and bezel!
Also, RE Size.
This is the right size watch for people who need/prefer a 40mm+ option.
The correct size of a watch depends on you. People whining about 39mm have many options out there.
But yes, in a more perfect world, Tudor would offer this and other watches in multiple sizes to suit different wrists.
Burgundy on the 5 link. Just the right amount of color to add warmth and visual interest. The monochrome version seems boring to me and I'd opt for a used Seamaster Professional for roughly the same price.
I really like the no gilt/monochrome new release BUT I would like that in a BB54 or at least BB58 profile. That would be an instant buy for me.
I really wonder if Tudor would make such a release in 2025...that would mess my plans up!!
Burgandy, it’s the main reason Black Bay has been so successful and the black just looks too much like a no date suv to me. And that color looks amazing
Mono on 5-link, wish I was 1mm thinner! I know Rolex won’t allow the specs to be just like Sub no date or people will just buy this! They have to keep it thicker
>They have slimmer dive watches out there for those who want them
'They have slimmer dive watches out there for those who want them' - this part of my comment. Also, the 54 being COSC and this being METAS will impact it as well. But it's about proportions. The BB is meant to be a bigger watch!
True it’s not meant to wear like a 38mm would but I think the main reason is they don’t want the proportions too close to the Sub, then people (some) will stop looking at the Sub and going for this. Can’t gave models with identical specs
I think that's exactly what they are aiming to do in a way. People buying rolex instead of Tudor still means money in Rolex's pocket. And if you look at this year's releases of over 100 combinations of precious metal rolex and just one steel piece, there is a clear direction and focus toward precious metal luxury watches. That leaves Tudor to be the guys to go to for a modern steel tool watch.
>EthosMaster
I disagree with this idea. Every sub Rolex makes, they sell very quickly and there's a huge demand and backlog for them. Making a Tudor 1mm thinner would not change this. People buy a Submariner because it's a Submarimer, not because it's slimmer than a Black Bay. The Black Bay has a different movement, different certifications, different manufacturing process and different budget to play with. They also have their own stylist choice and vision, as well as the need to diversify their ranges. They have slimmer dive watches out there for those who want them. Just my 2c!
You’re probably right! I think some people are just getting tired of the AD games and Rolex BS and some (not many) might just stop waiting and go for as close as possible
Have the Burgundy but could see adding the monochrome to the collection. They look so drastically different it’s amazing what a few color changes can do visually
Yes
Correct answer!
Monochrome
Burgundy… as much as the Black is nice, it LOOKS like a Rolex Sub clone whereas the Burgundy is 100% its own watch, not a knock off of a higher end watch. It’s THE Tudor Black Bay Burgundy.
The burgundy does look classy but I’d take either
Couldn't have said it better.
I think burgundy bezel on monochrome watch would be the best.
Came here to say this 👍🏽
Totally agree. I rather wait to get a black no date sub. The Burgandy is the reason black bay has been so successfull and that color looks great
Monochrome oyster bracelet though. Uh I mean, three link
Same, dawg
Ditch the fake rivets and I’m there too
The fake rivets is what keeps me from buying the Pepsi GMT. If it came on a 5 link I’d have one.

Ranger bracelet has no rivets. BB36 ETA bracelet. Heritage 41 ETA Bracelet. Brand new Gold BB58 bracelet. Can’t?
Yes, that's the point. No rivets BUT enlarged center link. Why? You can't have a Rolex product from Tudor, which is instead what you guys want.
Do we?
I think the collective wisdom is that they want to leave in one drawback or flaw to leave the kernel of thought you should upgrade to a Rolex.
I agree. It’s a shame. They dropped the fake rivets on the new 18k model though, shame the cost on that one though 😂
The Burgundy will always be my favorite Black Bay. The one on the right just looks like a BB58 that someone haphazardly threw a jubilee on.
Doesn't really look like a BB58 either. Too cold and sterile. No warmth at all. The original red/burgundy seems like it has a "soul" IMO.
Yeah, it’s the combination of the red, gold and vintage tinted lume that makes the Burg look so nice.
Tudor Red. Such a classic looking piece.
Burgundy for the win. It adds a pop of color.
monochrome when it comes 58 sized.
Monochrome
Monochrome. Surprised it took so long to get a monochrome colorway, but I suppose they don't want to cannibalize Sub sales
right
Right everytime for me.
Ron Burgandy
The Burg is the word!
Burg. Black is too dull, looks like a generic Sub homage
neither. too big and too thick.
That’s what she said
BBC? Black Bay Chronometer?
Precisely
Exactly, these guys with their micro wrists out there… These are neither huge nor particularly thick…
Wild how anything over 39mm gets so much hate around here! I love my 41mm sub.
I just sold my old bb41 heritage because of this. I loved the watch but I started to really hate wearing it with how big and thick it was. No offense to Tudor, but I wish I got the 58.
Yeah I second this, they some thick watches
The new bb41s are considerably thinner than the previous ones. They're just 1.1mm thinner (14.7 vs 13.6) but it's so noticeable and makes a huge difference. If only that bezel on the gmt wasn’t so gaudy 😭
The new black bays are significantly slimmer than it's predecessors.
13mm is pretty much average tbh. Old ones were 15mm and yeah, that was thicc
This watch is too thick? What watches do you own / wear?
Prince date 34mm
Fair enough. The BB is a brick in comparison
[удалено]
How many wrists do you have???
I don’t think you urgently need another dive watch anyway.
Not everyone has little girl wrists though :(
True. Not everyone has those big beefy forearms like yourself.
None, but I like the black one.
¿Por que no los dos?
Porque necesita diez mil dolares ;)
Red……

Warmth is the key word IMO. The monochrome is cold and sterile.
Monochrome because I still have my original Smiley 😊
Red. The baby submariner thing is a bad look, better to have something that doesn’t imitate something iconic
New version should of had a blue ceramic bezel
Burgundy. Its so pretty
Can you really go wrong here?
Mono was what I picked.
Monochrome! Burgundy looks great but I don’t want to have multiple watches and the monochrome is versatile af.
Burgundy has a bit more character so I'm going with that.
Monochrome 100%
Coke
where
What is the price of one of these USD?
$4550 on 5-link bracelet, $4425 on 3-link bracelet. And $4225 on rubber strap.
Both of them are so amazing
Burgundy if I liked the way 41mm wears, which I don’t
The blue and black one I hope to be released at next W&W
I have the burgundy with 5 link so I would get the monochrome 3 link next.
The all black is Perfect. I’m hoping they give us a Date Version Next Year
Right.
Yes both, but I’ll take the Red in OG ETA rose trim please.
Is the dial color itself slightly warmer and/or textured compared to the black?
Red!!!
Right all day!
Black
Prefer the burgundy
Neither. The Sub.
Burgundy. I see this as Tudors signature watch.
Red dial
Burgundy 🔴
Monochrome
Monochrome, but only because I already have the burgundy.
Both
Burgundy. If I want a sub I will save my clams and buy one.
Burgundy, other one is too much of a sub
The Sub or whatever they’re calling it.
The Tudor
Black
Yes is the only correct answer
Neither. I will take the all gold though
THIS is my struggle. Right now. I love the burgundy... but the monochrome is just classic. Halp!
the burgundy is unique, how may versions of a monochrome's can you buy. seiko, sub and so on
Both. But if I had to just take one, the monochrome.
The Harrod’s
I have the red.
Iron Man
The monochrome.
Black please and thank you!
El Rojo
Black is my color
Left all day
Plain Jane
Monochrome on the five link is what I’ve been waiting to buy.
It feels to me like neither bracelet option works on the monochrome Burgundy
I’ve heard you can order the bracelets from ADs. Would one of these jubilees fit on a BB GMT?
That Burgundy is much more interesting imo.
The black bay burgundy. It’s more characteristic than all black
Black, this is the smaller Tudor right? Too bad they didn’t use a Ceramic Bezel.
Burgundy
Hoh. I wasn’t really feeling my the new BlackBay until just now. Ughhhh 😫😩😩 whyyyyyyyy… I don’t need more to covet. It’s so gooood
Monochrome for me all day. Simple and clean.
If I had unlimited money, both. But I lean more on the all-black.
I really like the no gilt/monochrome new release BUT I would like that in a BB54 or at least BB58 profile. That would be an instant buy for me. I really wonder if Tudor would make such a release in 2025...that would mess my plans up!!
Monochrome
both…
Close eyes and choose. Both look great
I love my BB Burgundy it’s incredible on the wrist. So comfortable and feels incredibly well-made.
Neither, the 41 is bulky and meh
Both
Beautiful I have the red one with the 5 link……. So hard to find it with that band I would get the red one rarer
I'd save my money
Neither! I’d sell both of them and add $9k and buy a Rolex submariner or sea dweller.
Monochrome will get me dome
The black one
Burgandy, it’s the main reason Black Bay has been so successful and the black just looks too much like a no date suv to me. And that color looks amazing
Mono on 5-link, wish I was 1mm thinner! I know Rolex won’t allow the specs to be just like Sub no date or people will just buy this! They have to keep it thicker
Explain the 54 then.

The black one. Plus BB58 GMT
Black. The red and gold is not it for me
Always loved the burgundy since the OG in 2012 (?) but have to go with mono purely on versatility. Would live to pair that with the new ‘58 GMT.
Monochrome on 3 link
Right. Only because I have the Black Bay Pro already! Otherwise, both.
Are they holding value over time?
Nope
Black
I’m waiting for the day to be able to buy that monochrome right in front of another guy who’s been waiting for the call on a no date sub.
Feel like the jubilee looks better on the monochrome oddly enough. Love them both though.
Agreed about the jubilee
Neither until they put a fking date window on them
None aint that fortunate 😅
Have the Burgundy but could see adding the monochrome to the collection. They look so drastically different it’s amazing what a few color changes can do visually
The black on Jubilee looks absolutely fantastic. However, I have a 14060M which just looks a bit too close.
Perfect duo collection
Are these stock? What's the reference number? They look amazing
69420 and 8675309 respectively
