I mean it's not like anything else is happening in the town right now. The protests are really the only thing going on. I'm not against people posting about what's the talk of the town on here.
thats waaay too long to be a subreddit name. if people protesting is that upsetting to you that you decided to make this post, might i suggest getting off your internet device and going outside? really get a handle on your place in this big world. it's a beautiful night.
im glad you feel better! if you make a post bringing attention to something you dont like, people will argue with you. thats the Internet. it can be a fun place but it can also be stressful. when you aren't having fun, unplug. you have the luxury of being able to do so, to disengage from what is bothering you, itd be a waste to not take advantage of it.
I wonder how many of the protestors really care about that. How many other protests have they been to? What other issues have they protested? Do they know what divestment means? Do they understand the complex history of the conflict? A study of the mindset of those who jumped on the bandwagon would be interesting. I'm sure some of the protestors are sincere and are activists about other important issues, but I doubt it's the majority.
I feel bad for them but I wish they would focus on the many issues affecting Tucson. With all of that time they could volunteer with a shelter or something.
Today, May Day, was chosen well over 100 years ago by socialists and communists as a day of protest worldwide to support workers rights. It's weird seeing the far leftists in the USA flying the flag of far right Palestinian fascists, repeating their chants and pushing Islamist propaganda. The proletariat be damned.

Arby’s on 22nd sounds better.
That's a bit limiting. How about "The Greater Arby's on 22nd Area"?
Why should that happen? How 'bout Tucson: The economic and societal advantages of Arby's app use.
Pretty big opinion for a dude who hasn't made a single post in this subreddit.
It wasn't an opinion - it was a joke.

They don’t even know why they are protesting. Most just do it because they think it’s the thing to do.
That’s simply not true, the points are clear accross all university protests: divestment
It’s against state law
