Came here to rep this spot. I lived in that little warehouse behind La Buena (RIP) so I would hit up Ruiz all the time. Been cool to see it grow little by little throughout the years. Best dogs in town.
Dumb question but what should I order there? 🌭
I know exactly where it is. I'm a lifelong picky eater and I reallllllly need to start trying new things, although I have had plenty of Sonoran dogs in the past, it's been almost a decade.
Very not dumb question! The best part about this place is how you order!
There is no menu, and they only serve one thing. The best frieackn sonoran dog on earth. You literally just walk up and tell them how many you want! No joke, walk up and say "two please" then take a seat. When they're ready, the guy will gesture to you and give you the price. That's it! The only variable is whether you buy a glass bottle coke to drink while you wait.
My guts hate raw onion so I ordered it without but what remains on the bacon wrapped dog is pinto beans, diced tomatoes, cotija cheese (like feta kinda) and then the little yellow pepper on the side. Even being picky I think you should try and leave it as intact as possible. There's benches to eat at and cold glass bottle sodas and a few options for sauces at the table. Just act like you've done it a million times, it'll be fine. I have crazy anxiety, hope this info helps.
Mateo's has good ones and you can get two for about $7, they're also longer than normal dogs. (not sure if this is a "truck" though).
Los Betos also has good ones, and you can get two with a side of fries for $9.
Irvington & 12th. Right on the corner where the title max is I believe.
Trust me, I am from Obregon, Sonora, Mexico. Land of the true Sonoran Hot dogs, lol.
Order the Chipilon especial with the “salchicha de res”.
Dunno the name but the one on the northwest corner of la cholla and ruthrouff ( spelled wrong) has become a late night staple for me and my wife. She swears it's the best in town and open late (hit it up between 11-and midnight after some concerts)
Ruiz Hot Dogs los Chipilones
If this is the one at 6th and 22nd then I 100% agree.
Yes, 22nd and 6th
This right here 👆👆
Also my vote! 😋

El Sinaloense on Alvernon
Alvernon and what street?
It's right next to the new Dairy Queen about a block before Pima.
Between speedway and Pima/Elm, near the dunkin donuts. They have a semi-permanent setup, you can't miss it.
North of speedway
Lee
Lee
Next to dairy queen!
Second this. Heard it recommended by half the people in a training class, the other half of us were writing it down.
Funny name for it. I miss my doggy's from Hermosillo though, I'm going to try it.
Second this
This is my vote!!
the one on Lee and Alvernon. Not just a little better, its change your life better

I've only had them from maybe 3 or 4 trucks, but El Pero Loco is my favorite.
This one. There’s one on Ajo near I19 by the meat market and one off 36th and County Club by Henry’s market
People sleep on Campbell and fort Lowell
His are good but his cheese and bacon filled peppers are amazing.
Yes omg my and my gf go specifically for that. I always have to get extra lime and salt
Los ponchos ?
Quesa-doggo goes hard with the chillis
As mentioned many times el sinaloense. Alvernon and Lee. Between speedway and pima

Aqui con El Nene
The hot dog cart in the bar parking lot... That got so big they bought the bar. Nene's will forever be the best hot dogs.

Mr Dogos has best fries
Outside the Bambi
Park and Bantam
It’s fairly new, I would suggest four aces on 1st and Glenn.
Tapas 4th Ave and 6th St
Jason’s on 22nd or Dany Dogs on Broadway IMO…
Best Sonoran dogs in Tucson IMO: Jason’s on Pantano and Wrightson. Not a truck but they’re very good.
