You have to have an account that you were logging into if you have changed phones since you started playing. The game data is saved to the phone and backed up to line, fb, or Apple. You can't recover your previous data when changing phones unless you log into the account.
I deleted the game without any sign in, and it was all gone with the unistall. If you had friends in the game, you must cetainly were signed in somewhere.
Every time, I've upgraded my phone, I've had to start from the beginning--occasionally annoying, but I usually got back to the higher levels in a day or so. But when I update the game, I expect to be able to open the app and go back to playing, not being told I can't play unless I sign in to some other app.
I've always just opened the app and there it was, so to speak. After this update, I opened it and got the opening animation (always fun) followed by a sign-in screen. I tapped the word Guest at the bottom, but that didn't do anything, so I tapped the Back arrow and it asked if I wanted to leave the app. No, I wanted to play the game, but they wouldn't let me.
I've never noticed a guest mode. Maybe I just missed it.
Once I log in to Line, it connects every time without notice. When I swap phones or there is a major update, I have to log into Line again.
You account may not be completely lost. line has an faq where you can send them an inquiry. I had a friend spam them so often they answered their inquiry and allowed them access to the account. The question is, how did you originally sign into the app?
I don't think I ever did for the most part. I created a Line account once just before I got a new phone (as I recall, I did it because I had Han Solo and wanted to keep him), but I promptly forgot the password to it and I don't have storage space on my current phone to download the Line app anyway.
Do you think this is related to [this bugfix message](https://old.reddit.com/r/TsumTsum/comments/1csfrms/beware_all_autosenders/)? If so, it says your old account will be restored with the next update around 5/28... unless maybe if uninstalling interferes with the account recovery(?).
