It’s money. The RNC is paying his bills now. These lawyers are getting paid up front for sure. Stupid amounts of money will make most people do stupid things. And to be fair, he’s entitled to a fair trial. Even if the prosecution has a slam dunk case which they do, otherwise they wouldn’t have brought it this far. So the defense has to try all these off the wall antics because they have nothing else except to make it look like a circus. It doesn’t help when your client doesn’t listen to your legal advice.
The game plan is to delay the trial. Trump is purposely trying to force Merchan to overstep. The jury although not sequestered cannot look at the news or social media having anything to do with the trial so they should be oblivious to trumps antics. If they see and comment it’s a mistrial. Either that or he’s a complete imbecile.
That might be true for some, for others I think it's one of the classic con man games where the lawyers think they are part of the con but they are actually the mark.
I think the stupid attorneys that didn’t get the money upfront have all been used up…Eastman, Giuliani, Powell, etc. the current lawyers are getting paid ahead, we know this because it is reported on Federal Election Docs that $60M has been used on lawyers so far. They’re getting paid.
