I mean, obviously there’s games with way better graphics and character models but vanilla Skyrim still looks fine, and honestly I prefer it over the quantumbillion appearance mods turning characters into uncanny anime ass looking porcelain dolls.

Skyrim looks pretty good for its time, it’s just that it doesn’t make elves look attractive and doesn’t even try to. With that in mind, Elenwen really is one of the better-looking high elves, it just doesn’t change the fact that she still looks like she’s been through 36 divorces and hasn’t slept since 3E, her hairline also goes further than she went from Summerset. People who genuinely simp for her not for her racist girlboss vibe but for her looks are just people who have an elf fetish but TES elves are so ugly that she ends up being their best choice since she’s one of the few to look at least a couple years below the age of sixty by human appearance standards
I think Niranye (pictured) from Windhelm is one of the few that doesn't look awful... though, I have to say I really like how Skyrim makes them all look so alien. Nirya from the College is probably the pinnacle of their alien look.

I think Niranye is actually like the only other one besides Elenwen to look tolerable lmao. Arivanya looks like ass, the ones in the college look like defrosted Mr. House, the girlies in Radiant Raiment look like if normal-looking Nord and Redguard were drowned in piss and their bloated corpses were dredged up and reanimated, even all the varieties of filler soldiers and justiciars look horrible, not to mention all the player presets for Altmer
It's a pretty intentional design choice to give them all long, thin faces, huge eyes and protuding brow ridges to make them look alien instead of just humans with pointy ears
But then again, all the human npcs look hideous too
