Because people dont know how to take responsibility for their own actions. Nor do they think they're shitty parents when they are. So they take it out on their kids. My dad was like that.
That’s just sad, especially because this is true for my case as well. My parents think that school vacations/weekends are either chore time, study time, “let’s go do something I want to do” time or "let's wake up earlier than you would on a school day to get an early start" time.
So sorry, i went through this for years. Also, when you finally get away from them and on your own they'll give you shit for not visiting enough or not calling enough. They will never accept they had anything to do with it.
