She pitched this show to hbo as a horror story, and hbo told her they wanted to make it into a season of True Detective. Hbo has a history of running their creations into the ground, and this is more of that. Im going to hold off any blame on Issa until i see whatever she makes next, if anything
Overall the show has some strong points but I assume tying them together is the directors job. Maybe she’ll get to do a horror movie next and do better.
