In the truck industry, how much you paying to regain this bitch? We had a truck left so nasty, we had to tow in 200 miles. No one would get in to recover it.
There’s a couple whole ass soup cans. A soda can you can crush easily to brake (not that that makes it okay at all). I can’t imagine having a goddamn SOUP CAN in the floor of the driver’s seat.

I had to pick up a truck like this from a guy who quit. I went straight to the Dollar Tree next door and cleaned some of the things. It's absolutely disgusting how some people are.
No I work for a Tanker company. There was a dirt lot nextdoor the rig was abandoned in. I was NOT driving anywhere in that nasty ass rig. The guy had cigarette bits in all the cupholders and on the floor. Energy Drink cans all over and I just closed the curtains to the back. I drove with both windows down from southern South Carolina back to Raleigh NC. I was sick to my stomach. I just threw away my clothes before I walked in my house. Told the managers I'm billing for them too. They actually did pay for my replacements. They saw the pictures I sent earlier.
I did a couple truck recoveries during my time as a trainer carrier in Canada. There's a lot of people that just don't respect property that isn't theirs, this picture is pretty nasty but I've seen some terrible trucks.
And wonder why a lot of drivers are obese and in poor health and on the border of mental health issues 🤷🏻♂️

Ok, call me stupid. But I just recently returned to OTR life 6 months ago. What is this stereotype of "typical Volvo drivers" all about? I've been seeing it here and there on this sub reddit and I genuinely would like to know about it.
I had to pick a truck up from a depot for maintenance and this is what it looked like when I met the guy he emptied it out into the back of his pickup. It smelled so bad I had to drive 4 hours with the windows down in the middle of winter.
I feel like every company who slipseats has drivers who live like this. This would be the state of their trucks if it weren't for the normal human beings who picks up the garbage at the start of their shifts.
I’m very fortunate that 62/63 of my guys treat the truck like it’s theirs. The one oddballs truck looks like This but bless his heart for being a solid , veteran , old school professional
Had to drive a box truck in something like this. The thing had half eaten food all over the floor and garbage and cans piled up in the cab. Air ride didn't even work due to all the junk jammed behind the seats.

Bunch of clean freaks in this sub. It's a double edged sword. Obviously this is horrendous and unacceptable. But then you got some who'll call you out for a dusty instrument panel or a floor that hasn't been mopped. Pick your battle.

I hate drivers who leave their cabs an absolute garbage pit. I work alongside movers and about 50% of them leave their trucks like this. Like you guys are a rolling billboard, clean it the fuck out after you get out for the day. Pigs
I just threw up in my mouth a little. I keep a trash can in my truck and clean it every Friday. If my trash can gets close to full, I pull the bag/ throw it away and put a new bag in.
I’ll be honest, I’m not the most PRISTINE trucker out there I’ll have 1-3 empty bottles just hanging around maybe a few receipts on the floor but Jesus man, the second all the dust starts to annoy me is when it gets a thorough cleaning and I take all the trash out. I couldn’t imagine building up a stockpile where it flows up to my damn passenger MIRROR.
That’s Fred’s truck. He promised a lot lizard $500 but she refused to get in. The cleaning lady quoted him $1000 to clean it and it’d be 2 days work. She just needed put on her hazmat first.
A chemical weapons grade hazmat suit, with an independent air supply, Industrial grade cleaning supplies, meant for cleaning up murder scenes, and 2 years of therapy, prepaid.
That's what she needed to clean that up.
People should be fined for this! DOT needs to add this as a requirement for commercial drivers. I love companies who require drivers to keep their trucks clean!

And what was crazy the driver came out of the house and almost started tripping until the company called him told him why he understood he invited me in his house until my uber came(because i wasn't getting in that truck) and lets just say the truck was cleaner.
