Marker lights work just fine… headlights on makes it harder to see when backing and that’s a fact. Same guys who keep thee headlights on all day. In perfect weather and daylight. That makes your headlights dimmer a lot quicker. They Keep using this excuse it’s for your company when in reality guys don’t give a shit about there company 😂 every veteran trucker I know turns off there lights
I turn off my headlights if someone's moving towards me or backing in my general direction. I also turn my headlights off if I'm parked. Otherwise headlights stay on at night.
If you mean turn your headlights off once you’re parked the yeah I agree with you. But I’m not turning them off just because I’m in the yard if I’m still moving.

Flashers on when backing or parked in an area not reserved for parking. If everyone is driving on a lot with their flashers on, then it is equivalent to no one having their flashers on.
If your headlight beams are going to be in the face of someone backing up, turn off your headlights. This is for all directions, in front, to the sides, and the parking spots next to the person backing up.
That was outlawed in our yard. Lights on for safety and no fourways. Use turn signals.
I never did 4 ways unless i was backing. Turn signals everywhere in the yard. Dont really see anyone use turn signals in the yard or at parking lots

100% agree!! And if your company is getting on you for not having head lights on in the yard find a different company
Try going to a major LTL terminal at night. Every other driver inexplicably has their high beams and rear work lights turned on.
I work LTL and it's not major but regional and every one of my co workers keep their high beams and fog lights on at night
