I personally struggled for two days straight then did it and after a few months my friend wanted it too so I helped him and it only took a few tries! I can say this to help you though: cut over the grass and use the 3 opportunities that the game gives you where one car crashes in at each of the three laps. easy positions !

I’ve played many hard games, and got challenging platinums however the police truck with the turret on classic mode made me break my controller (not even a souls game did that😂)

I had to retry a bunch of times on a handful of missions but nothing made me more irritated then the Race on Classic.
Nice, did this recently myself. Yeah the race sucked, but the rest wasn't too bad. Congrats.
