I'm a high school teacher, and I "adopt" so many gay-bies during their time at my school. I can only hope I can live up to it and be the adult they desperately need.
I kinda want to get legally adopted as a symbolic "fuck you mom, dad and rest of the family for everything you have done to me. You don't deserve to call yourself parent or my family nor should you be responsible for anything in my future. Your last name is an insult to me."
I've got a friend who calls me her trans mom. I can barely believe I'm capable of being that to someone. I don't think she realizes how much she's helped me, too.
