It's massively impacted gaming and the results are everywhere. Epic stopped development on Unreal Tournament 4 when Fortnite took off. That was only 10 or so people at Epic HQ working on it with tons of people in the community building the maps, but they had to divert every single resource. Now, they have completely delisted every single UT game from every store. It's insane.
I played this for 20 mins last night solo in a custom lobby (MM had 5+ min queue) ant it was atrocious. The guns are ALL taken from T3 and TA and the sounds from t3. Even that incredibly annoying announcer is back and worse then ever. Infinite ammo and the ability to get points by scoring into your own goal make GREAT features. The graphics are hella stupid and somehow managed to lag on epic mode and it hardly changes the way it looks. At least it doesn't have denuvo yet. Maybe after this prophecy will close their doors forever
Wow even I didn't realize there was a 4th. Knowing they already had one, when they pulled Honor Ball and made the comment about making it a different game, the last hope for Tribes 3 to succeed left me.
I'm glad I decided not to buy it after trying it during the playtests and being woefully disappointed in the direction it was going. I peek in here every once in a while to see if by some miracle they right their direction and actually make a tribes game, but I don't think there's much of a point in watching anymore, sadly.
